Well I just tuned into the 'qualificationization' session that they are having, cant say I understood anyone of it.

There was no Murray, and there was no spirit. They interviewed Frank Williams.

He looked like the sport.

AHGGGGHGHGGH What the fark have they done to this sport.?????

What is going on man, what the hell is going on.

Sh|t I took a god damn sabbatical from this crap 2 years ago and I though I'd have a looksee tonight.

Boll0cks Bernie. Go stick your £10384354 Billion up your tiny lil' arse.

What the hell happened. Remember the eyes of Ayrton Senna in qualifying waiting and watching the laps and waiting, waiting, the rain, the grip, the chessgame, wait and wait and go out and put in a lap like he was possesed by the devil of speed.

Shit to this crap.

Turing it off.:(:(

serious question why cant you post drivel like this on the GTR forum?

or would it be nuked?

As for what its worth, the new rules are a massive improvment to f1. far better racing and far better to see one lap qualfyers than not knowing whats going on,

The same reason as you dont Warren.

I've got sympathy with both views.

The current rules have made the races far more interesting than they've been for a couple of years (with the exception of the limitation on the number of rain treads available which is approaching homicidal).

However, I do agree with Glen also. But perhaps the good olg days were more about the drivers who were around at the time. The days of Senna / Prost / Mansell were fantastic. Three very different approaches to being fast - talent & arrogance / meticulous calculation / brute force. And they were driven by two things : to win AND to be in front of the others.

I preferred the old days but the new rules have made the best of what the sport is today.

Wait until Silverstone when the driver's aids come off. I'm sure Schumacker will still win (no I'm not a Fan) but what it will show is what a superb driver he is. He ranks up there with Fangio, Moss, Senna...

But removal of the driver's aids will be areturn to real racing.

I saw a m8 at Brands today take 2nd in Jean Alesi's '97 Benneton powered by a V10 NA Judd in EuroBOSS without TC or launch Control etc and it was fantactic! The noise and the skill of the driver's is something else, even if the volume of the commentary wasn't. Shame the only real stipulation of racing in BOSS is bucketloads of wonga!

Tim

I think the ban on driver aids has been put back to the start of next season now :(

Was going to cost too much to police or something.

As for Schumi's skill, think that was proved again today ...

Do you really think he is that good? I personally dont. He is a good driver but not a legend. His car has always been the best by far. When Ferrari where trying to get thier feet years he was nowhere. After the new rule changes came into effect when he drove for Benaton he was nowhere.

LOL, records speak for themseleves, you can say what you like, but after what he did in QUALY and the race yesterday, shows you he is leagues ahead of anyone else period.

Your direct competition is always the person you go against (no one comes near him)

Qualy - at the rate hes going hell pass Senna

And total times in pits ect (have a look at yesterday he spent how much mroe time in the pits than rubens ?) and still won pretty easily.

Overall he has passed Senna and the rest in my opinion.

(Senna is still god though - and no not the tart in the Mondeao :p )

shumy is easily up there with the greats now imho......look at all the doubting thomas's that said he was crazy to go to ferrari and sure enough he along with ferrari helped bring them back and whats more he stuck it out and didnt give up like a certain finn who retired when he knew the game was up......and even though they have all those layers of fireproof protection you are not telling me most drivers would have been out of that car like a shot. people say hes boring to watch but thats because theres nobody as good as him to give a good race.......lets hope senna is reincarnated one day

yup if further proof is needed take a look at the stats for the last race

now look at the time he had in the pits from the broken rig and then see how easily he pulled this race of, look at his fastest lap, that is something out of the gods with regards to everyone else.

Ever wondered why the greats end up in the fastest cars? Perhaps because they make them the fastest?

Bennaton were nowhere when he arrived in three years he won 2 championships ferrari were nowhere when he arrived look what he has accomplished in that alone.
