Like so many import zeds (and possibly a few uk ones too?) my car has a dashboard panel that curls up wjere it ought to meet the windscreen air grille. I'm told this is due to being baked under the 'rising sun'!

When I had the ineterio re-trimmed I asked if they could sort this and, after a quick look they decided it was a massive job, stripping out the entire dash to re-build it.

This sounds like a load of old hairy bill hooks to me, has anyone out there in forum land done it? - Is there a way of lifting the windscreen grille and putting it back with a wider (say stainless??) trim to hold down the curling dash edge?

Marvellous, not sure how I missed this but thanks for the help!

As for the interior - there are quite a few options - ie DIY with a kit (speak to Luke at the Zed Centre for supply) or send it to a professional upholsterers. I chose the latyter - cos I'm a lazy git and thought I could have something a bit different.

Cost me £1600 and took a whole zedless week, but I think you'd agree - it looks the business now.

It looks

Any more pics of the interior?

Looks great! What company did the work for you?

If you do contact them, please tell them where you heard of them, as I still have some additional ICE installation work in hand and I'd like to keep in their good books!

OK, more pickies, but the 'burgundy' looks a lot 'redder' in these!

oops, only one attachment per post!

ah, someone's read the other threads too!

I had a quote for £450 to mount the cruise controls and the stereo remote onto the steering wheel, then retrim it in matching two-tone leather. In the end I decided this was a bit too much and I'm cuttently pursuing alternative solutions (like making something up myself!)

In honesty, there are more important mods required still, so I have put this one down the priority list a little.

I'd still be pleased to hear from anyone who knows anything about hard wire remote controls for Alpine stereos though!
