have shity aluminium 'diamond' or circle crap.

I want stainless square mesh (small holes (couple of mills) like

you get on rovers, etc.

demon tweaks do it, but the pictures in the catalogue don't show

sizes so don't know if holes are small or big enough to put your

yep, as James said, B&Q do various large sheets for about £25 (good price considering Halfords etc charge you about £20 for just a stip of it).

I bought mine from halfords.

It said stainless steel on the label, but after 1 week it's rusty as fook. I would personally spray it the desired colour, just to make sure it doesn't rust.

I think some dumb shop biy swapped the label on mine.

...how big a piece do you want - I've got various sizes in the garage - got it from a friend who used to work for Lola. Let me know and I'll have a look.

Jack, you rascal........got that naff "Lola" song in my head now and can't get rid of it!

You know the one......'her name was Lola, she was a showgirl'

......just tryng to get it to contaminate your brain aswell. :p

...my brain's so full of rubbish there's no room left for contamination. Where was it that Lola sang? Was it the Co-co Cabana or something?

jack, cool. worth a look.

by the way I finally got around to ordering a set of axle stands (screwfix.. 8 quid.. bargain), so I need to give yours back to ya anyway. maybe I can pop round at the weekend sometime ?

stu

heavy drinking session in Kingston planned for the weekend so earlyish Saturday morning is favourite. Alternatively I'll dig out what I've got and just leave it in the corner by the garage door - help yourself, and leave the stands, they'll be ok.

...let me know what suits you.

Top Tip for the day :D

If you want to make sure something is stainless steel try a magnet on it.

If its stainless it will NOT stick.

Nah........... The Kinks........ (much better than Barry Manilow)

Lola: "Walks like a woman, talks like a man......." written by Ray Davies.

I have got some SS mesh for my car, but there wasn't enough to use it as I wanted to, and I ended up with B&Qs finest. It was quite expensive, as it is fitted to Bentleys, etc... If you are interested I can get the dimensions, and you can make me an offer if suitable.

......"You really got me, Dedictated follower of fashion, Sunny afternoon, Waterloo sunset, Well respected man............." I can't get the Kinks sound out of my mind now..........

(Interestingly the mesh is with my car at a garage, also in Kingston).

Jack, who do you know at Lola? I used to work at Lola a long time ago (left in '92). Built the Nissan R91 LeMans car while I was there! That lump had a lot of smiilarities to the 300 motor. Just 3 times the power! ;-)

Hi Jack,

Just saying hello, is it Kingston Surrey you live in as I'm not too far away in Putney?

Friend called Garry Auckland - used to work in the model making section of Lola - lots of carbon fibre and wind testing.

Kingston - Ham really - visiting a friend - I live in Ipswich.

...have a great weekend

Model making! Yep, remember many an idle summer when the Lola model makers were flat out wind tunnel testing the new shapes, and we didn't have any cars to bolt together, so we would get tasked with machining up little scale sized suspension components!

I had a garage full of 'offcuts' of titanium, alloy sheet, carbon fibre too! ;-)
