If you have met me you know i have a 18" sub in da boot which as black sussex 300zx mark know was not too loud

Well i did what swm1 did and remove everything out my boot and made a new box

It was not the most perfect box (a good tube of silicon sealent fix that)

and i just fired it up

And boy it louder and woow

But its good for deep bass song but for normal music you cant here sh*t over the rattles

The box is sealed (ish back to the silicon)

Do you think it is mostly the plastic panel under the spoiler in the boot that makes the rattles?

You can sod off if you think i getting that box out again!

In the boot there are only the side panels around the inside of the boot and I cant see them rattling. Try the tools in your car (If you have them.) They could cause the rattle.

wheel and tools have been taken out

It'll be the centre panel in the inside of tailgate rattling, I had to screw it every couple of inches to stop it.

The tailgate itself is prone to rattle if the clip on the lower body isn't mounted low enough - easily fixed by moving the mount a little lower, but remember that exreme bass frequencies could generate rattles anywhere in the car!

Good luck

Thanks People

Any easy way of fixing these problems

i might just puts some sound stuff in

Thats no fun

my sub is the one up form this

my sub

Hi Simon

Do you have the rear "roller blind" drawn over your sub? This causes major rattles in my boot as I think I told you at Bolney :(. Try it with the blind off to see if it sounds any different...

Cheers

Open the boot, look at the underside of the lid, you will see a piece of trim that goes across the back - the blind attaches to it afaik. Try removing that - when I had a 10" sub either side it was that that was making the noise - its a complete PITA....

Thanks Mate.

I just going to remove anything plastic and see what happens
