i bought some new speakers the other day for the rear they are a dogy size i bouht some 6x4 like it says on the car fittment charts every where got them home took old ones out placed the new ones in and found that they were so small that they dropped through the hole i thought dam so took em back to where i got them (unicar) and said that they were too small they gave me the usual crap that they were the rite ones but they didnt notice that my son had the old speaker in his hand then that pi#sed on his bombfire din it then i said do they have any 7x5 they said in a cocky voice that now body made speakers in that size but i had done my home work before i went and found that loads of people do them and because unicar do lots of jbl stuff i said to the guy that jbl did them which he said they didnt and when he could be bothered getting the jbl book out he found that they did (no one likes a customer that knows more than the sales man lol) and then he quoted me £90.00 for them so i went to halfords and found the jbl ones for £50.00 i thought that sounded better so befor i paid my money for them to order them i went home and rung around to see if i could get them cheaper been a tight a#se then i went back to halfords the next day to order them i went in told him i wanted to order them took him about 20 min then he said there not in the book so they must not do 5x7 or we cant get them any way he said (it was a different guy) so i said they have been discontinued since 4:00pm last night then he said that he has been on holiday and he is the head of the hifi department so the order sheets didnt get changed since this morning so i had a right go at him been in there about 3/4 of an hour so i was just about to walk out extreamly peved off then he says they might have some 7x5's in stock so he toddled off and came back with some kicker I570's i had never heard of them so me and my son walked around the shop for a bit and he said that he thought kicker was a good make and that he had seen a few good write ups on them so i decided to buy them then the guy said that they were £80.00 but cos i had been messed about he let me have them for £50.00 they are 45 watt continus input and 90 watt peak which would be fint for my system so i got home and foynd that they were masive so what i had to do was take out the speaker braket and mount them from inder neth in stead of on top how the stock ones were which to take the speaker brackets out you endup taking half the car apart but i did it any way and they sound brilient to fit them though ist a good job i had bought a dremal wanaby a couple of months before becaus the holes i had to drill were rite on the edge of the brackets so i went through with a tiny drill first the speakers that were in were hitachi presume they were the stock ones 25 watts which were knacked because some one had chanced the radio and left the origonal speakers in my radio that is in now (the one that came with the car) is 35 x 4 so speakers dint take long to blow fronts will probably go soon as well but i dont know what rating they are so i dont konw

and that is my life story im a slow typer so it must of taken me about 35 min to type this and when i press submit it will probably look like i have hard ly written out dam im knacked now ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

BTW on a JAP 2+2, what speakers fit in the rear as mine has none?

I think the answer may have been in the previous post, but I am damned if I can see it in there LOL

I have seen them with a 6" round speaker in there as original fitment as well on a 90 Jap.
