Question for manual TT owners

my ignition unit is down again.. can anyone recommend a good Ignition Unit/Amplifier for a '92 manual TT? an after market product? I got this Crane amp from a fried then realising it's only good for 6 inline engine or V8..

 

And I was reading some thread here recently about spark plugs to use.. so.. which is the best for a manual TT... Thanks...

    Thanks Lymon.. is the PTU mediocre? I want real good one.. as I want to change to higher cc injectors... or does it matter?

    Doesn't matter - you *could* go for an HKS DLI or whatever its called but thats serious overkill really ;)
