Has anybody heard any more about the Zemulator? The last I heard was that it was available in March but the Ashley Powers website hasn't been updated since last year.

I want one!!!!

Ashley Powers website for your info is http://ashleypowers.com/Zemulator/Index.htm

Too good an idea not to have one, cheaper than chipping too.

Thanks,

Paul

I am beta testing one at the moment.

It's a very nice tool, but to make full advantage of it you need to have access to a wideband o2 sensor.

Best is to tune your car with the zemulator on a rolling road.

You can also switch between any chip image while driving (eg. run the JWT tune around town, the mines tune for the motorway, etc ;))

Do you know if they require any more beta testers? I have full diagnostic workshop facilities and a tt manual 300 to play with.

is this going to be like conzult ... but cheaper so that every 1 can have 1..... or is a performance mod for fueling etc ......

u need to have laptop in car then ?

eat u r heart out fast & furious ?

It is a rom emulator which emulates the ROM chip in the ECU. This allows you to change settings for fueling, iginition etc without burning a new rom and fitting it. It also allows you to tweak your maps as you drive (rolling road much better though).

Looks great.

I think it's still available but never actually seen it.

Just remember that the bussiness end is an xtronics romulator, so it's not recommended to use it as a permanant replacement for a chip, just get the map right then burn it to an EPROM.

Any idea how much it costs?

Hi guys,

Spoke to Ash last week and he is steaming ahead with the development as we speek. There have been a few hardware teething problems on the development boards but it is now under control.

I hope to be hearing from him in the next few weeks or so as to the delivery dates of the final units.

The Xemulator has been designed to be fitted permanantly to the Z and you do not need to burn an eprom once the map is complete, just save it to disc for future reference or sharing.

I will keep you up to date as much as I can.

The cost is still to be established.
