My TT Z needs a new clutch and I want to know what you recomend.

Most people say a paddle clutch is too harch for a daily driver but I have driven a GT3000 VR-4 with it and its not that bad.

If you recomend any it would be nice to know where to get them.

RPS street disc clutch from Smithy. i got one & its great - he's sold loads on here now. it'll handle about 35% torque over the stock one iirc.

anyway ask smiffy (he also does a lightwieght flywheel to go in at the same time ;) )

I've got an ACT paddle clutch, and to be honest it's OK when you get used to it. Bit of judder in first but other than that it's fine.

Just be very carefull with uprated clutches. A member on here has had TWO pivot pins go in 12 months due to an uprated pressure plate exerting more than stock force on the clutch arm. I would recommend replacing the pin for peace of mind after hearing his story - the part is about £6, fitting about £200 because the gearbox has to come off to fix it. Yes I KNOW people can get their gearboxes taken off cheaper etc but this was what he was quoted by a main dealer...

Thx guys.

Andy, what do you mean by pivot pin ?

Is it the pin that the lever sits on ?

BTW the labour cost is none as i am a mec.

It is just getting parts to this island of nowere.

OMG just seen your location - is that correct??? lol

The pivot pin is the pin the clutch arm pivots on. I *think* its this part:

30537-40P00 PIN - BALL

Yup Dave that is the Nissan part number. the number I gave is the courtesy part number, they use different numbers but i suppose you could quote either.
