It`ll be a polyurethane basecoat with 2pack laquer (and lots of judging by the depth of the finish). Illusion paints are very expensive. I got quoted over £300 (a litre!) just for the basecoat not including thinner, activator or laquer, and I would`ve needed at least 4 litres to get round the car.

You might have taken my crown Martin! It was 333 miles for me each way, and I did that on a tank in either direction so for me it was £90 fuel and 2 x easyjet tickets for the other legs of the journey. :D

 

I wish it would stop raining, I have to keep washing and chamoising (Sp.?) my car! Time to build a bigger garage I think! God these cars are expensive, the optional accessories cost a fortune; now where's my trowel? ;)

Wasn't a complaint Mac, I'd happily travel to see Peter again if I need any paintwork doing.

 

On a second point, in hindsight I've looked at the map and I think that it's going to be a close call as to distance. Looks like both Martin and I are equadistant from the M25!

 

So, you don't have the crown yet martin :-P

so what if i drive via Brighton to go up there then?

 

all i know is i washed my car yesterday and the last people who did my rear boot spray job (supposedly they do ferraris :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: ) made a **** up of note, i look at an angle yesterday and there is bubbeling all over the rear of the car :mad: they quoted me 1500 to redo my car - well id rather spend all that on getting up to PPS alone lol , based on some of the photos ive seen of his work.

Spoke to him on the phone and what a suprise - some decent customer service. Cant wait now to get it done :D
