Please can someone shed some light on what I am doing wrong!

I've got an avatar that TT Tim has sorted for me via e-mail.

Unfortunately when I try and get it submitted it tells me that the file should be GIF or JPG?From what I can see the picture I want to use is Bitmap image......HELP!!

Cheers,

F.T.

Bitmaps are large files. You have to convert it to a JPEG. Do you have paint shop pro or photoshop?

I think you can use MS paint on the newer OS.

Load the fine in paint then click saveas and in the save box there is a combobox below where you type in the name of the file you want to save. Click that box and select JPEG or JPG or GIF and click save. Then try to upload that file

the simplest way you can convert an image format on any comp is to use paint (start>programs>accessories>paint) open the bmp file you have and the simple save as and select gif this will change the format for you

Thanx,

Stuart and Splashout,I've done that but now it tells me that it's 5000 and too big......for f**ks sake, all I want to do is change me bleedin' avatar!!

I think I'll just give up!

Cheers,

F.T.
