Morning Forumites/Zeddites/All (delete as applicable),

Am working on something "new" as my previous project did not "pan out".  Without giving too much away, what would the recommendations (products and workshops) for undersealing be?  Seeing as post 95 models don't have any, I wondered what others had done to address this issue and what they had found by doing so.

Virtual coffees supplied for helpful comments!

Thanks,

PhilD

I’ve had good results with the Dinitrol kits. Preparation is key for all of these long term underbody protection products so be prepared for a fairly substantial strip down for the best results. The kits also come with cavity wax and application tools which I would strongly recommend also.

There are a lot of products on the market these days for a quick spray and pray job, which require little to no prep - these are arguably better than nothing but do tend to wash away fairly quickly, look awful and will need to be reapplied regularly.

Your main consideration should be when you choose to use the car. I would recommend “limiting” the amount of use in poor weather and parking it up once the salt has been laid over the winter.

Dinitrol 4941 for the under body, ML cavity wax for inside the car and in box sections

Get the stuff that's applied with a schultz gun + compressor rather than the spray on cans, the aerosols are rubbish

As Joely mentioned good prep is key
