Ebay Packlink - anyone else had problems with them.....

Why is is that you just cannot contact these people??

I have been selling a lot of old stuff on Ebay, after clearing out the loft and garage. One such item was a set of 300zx car mats - they were sold to a buyer in the Croydon area. All went well, the parcel was delivered - or so I thought.....

.....Turns out that whilst in the Evri hub, a new label was printed and attached to a different parcel, which got delivered to my buyer. Naturally, he is pee'd off as he received a pack of baby accessories!!

I have opened a claim with Packlink, but all they keep telling me is that the parcel was delivered, according to the tracking evidence. They have totally disregarded my explanation and the pictures I sent of the original order - it's just a damn robot repeating the same old crap. How can I contact these idiots and explain what happened 😞

You know, I have a mind not to bother selling anything else and just burn the rest of my old stuff - it's just not worth the hassle.....

.....I did try to recruit the buyer to our club though - so Gareth, if you read this, I am sorry about your Zed mats mate. I am trying to resolve the matter and get you refunded!!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I always sorted my deliveries to buyers via Parcel2go so didn’t go through eBay’s system. Never had any issues that way. Ended up using DPD local or Evri via them. If you have contacted eBay direct to provide the evidence and the buyers evidence of baby accessories received! then eBay should sort it out really.

Before putting the postage cost I would enter parcel size/weight into parcel2go and it would give me a fixed price for non insured and insured, for anywhere in the UK so enter that price to the eBay postage cost for the item.

Evri as shambolic. Like Raja, I always use my own service via Parcel2Go and make sure not to select Evri!

Hope it gets resolved for you Richard.

And Gareth, if you're here...where in Croydon? There's a few of us about!

I have sold many things via eBay. I stopped using packlink months ago after issues. I was using UPS but after a fiasco over them loosing a parcel and refusing to pay the extra insurance I took out, I have stopped them. I have been using royal mail since. I always send signed for 2nd class and *crosses fingers* never had a problem yet. I do suggest royal mail in future because they are reliable, not badly priced when compared to the ratio of the parcel actually turning up and finally, you can actually talk to them!

1990 Black MT NA LWB = 2014 - 2020 (Sold)

1991 Red MT TT LWB = 2015 - 2017 (Stripped & Scrapped)

1991 Red MT TT LWB = 2017 - 2021 (Sold)

1991 Black MT TT LWB = 2018 - 2021 (Sold)

1989 Red AT TT LWB = 2021 - XXXX (Kept)

Royal Mail.
Always.
Never had a problem, parcels can be collected locally if not able to deliver, always reliable.
Worth any extra for peace of mind.

If i get queries on the cost, then i explain why i use them, and do you want the parcel or not?

After a few e-mails back and forth, I managed to get someone to actually read my comments and they have agreed to refund me by tomorrow..... So all good in the end, even if it was a little frustrating!

And thanks for the recommendations too - I am inclined to agree with Craig & Tom - I also use Royal Mail for the larger, more expensive items, so will probably used them for everything in future 😉

And still no sign of Gareth joining us...???
