As the cars going to be having a new plenum, and I think has an injector fault, I’ve been thinking about upgrading the injectors to the series 2 ones for reliability.

I know I need a new fuel rail to accommodate these, has anyone done this recently?

are my only options the ones from USA or are there any in the UK?

Does anyone have one kicking around that they’d sell?

thanks

You do not need a new fuel rail, use the existing one. You just just need the injector clamp adaptors and the connector adaptors (if you're not replacing the harness). If you're going to the trouble of replacing them all with new style injectors, you might as well upgrade - you have a bit of future proofing then and some tuning options if you ever want to run much higher boost levels and for the small additional cost, it makes sense. I went for 740cc NISMO (brand new genuine) although you can also get 615cc but there's not much in it price-wise. With 740cc, you can run higher ethanol content up to E85.

I bought all new from Z1. Would not trust used or reconditioned or other vendors. I also replaced my engine harness with a new OEM 96 version to fully future-proof (along with S2 CAS and PTU and a SpecialtyZ tune) as they were becoming harder to get hold of and repairing 30 year old crusty harnesses is a fool's errand. You have no idea how well it ran. It was literally like driving a new car.

Thanks mate, I’m not really considering pushing for a power increase, even if I did it wouldn’t be by much.

I’ve got a dodgy injector and just want to upgrade them to the series 2 ones for better reliability really while the plenum is off.

So I can use an adapter kit on the existing rail for the new injectors and then connector adapters too?

I would like to fit a new loom but it’s expensive so just getting it back on the road at the moment.

The harnesses aren't that expensive IMO and OEM harnesses aren't going to be around much longer. I would personally invest as you'd increase reliability 10 fold.
