Fortunately my new Z seems to be in good condition in respect of rust and I'd like to try and keep it that way. I had dinitrol applied to my previous Z and though it may be good at rust protection it's terribly messy stuff, especially for any future work on the car.

My socials must be listening into my thoughts again as I'm getting spammed with ads for a 'new' product called Lanoguard. There seems to be a huge amount of positive support for the product on the social platforms, they have decent videos on YT and their site looks professional enough. It's supposedly very simple to apply, must be done at least annually and requires no masking off. It seems a bit too good to be true!

Has anyone here had any experience with it? Would you recommend it?

The best rust proofing is to garage it and not to use it in the winter or when it's wet. ?

After owning mine for 15 years and living by that rule, when I sold it, it was still minty fresh underneath, zero welding, no rust. Clean as a whistle - thankfully, the new owner still keeps it that way. ?

I've epoxy primed mine and used raptor liner. I've read good things about both these processes, time will tell.

Lanogard and products similar to that are like when you buy a new car and pay for the "Diamond Protection" or whatever you want to call it. You essentially pay money for a wonder product but it's down to you to add it and maintain it on a regular basis.

Lanogard is quite a thin coating which chips rather easily. If it was any good we'd use it on my boats but we don't.

Best way for undersides of a car is 2 pak epoxy (I generally recommend Jotrun products) then a 1 pak topcoat (again Jotrun). Then just don't use it in the wet.
