Hi all,

We have reserved a club stand at this year's Simply Japanese show, Beaulieu, on Sunday 24th July; details in the events section as below...

This is one of the year's best shows in my opinion - with something to interest everyone. Not only is Beaulieu a great location, considering it houses the National Motor Museum, but the house and grounds are lovely too.... Simply Japanese is always well attended, with some truly excellent Japanese cars on display.....

So if you're interested, get your names down and your tickets bought. I shall look forward to seeing you there ?

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Sorry chaps I'm going to have to pass on this. I caught covid last week and today's test is still positive. Feeling completely

washed out. Hope you have a great show and take lots of pics!

Sorry to hear that Andrew - and both Julia and me wish you all the best for a speedy recovery....

Take care and hope to see you soon.

Yup - we're meeting at Tesco Applemore on Sunday morning.

7.30 is probably a bit early, as we don't have to be inside and on the stand until (say) 9.30, ready for public opening at 10. I'd say 8.30 - and no doubt we will all confirm in the events thread. I'm staying about 20 minutes drive away on Saturday night so will leave the hotel around 8.....!

Yup - our stand number is R24. I now have the display labels to hand out... Happy to print and distribute on Sunday - or I can e-mail/PM them to you.

The gates open to exhibitors at 08:30, the queues get crazy, so we always get there for as close to 08:30. Last year it took 45mins from the back of the queue to parking up. We left the Tesco's at 08:10. Meeting at 07:30 means we can meet, fill with fuel (if needed) and have a pee before joining the queue to get in. Also don't go via the back entrance, it's dusty gravel all the way across the estate, the front entrance is all tarmac. I'll be at Tesco about 07:30 and will leave at 08:10 with anyone that is there with me!

Cheers Tom - so let's compromise and say we all meet for 8am at the latest, ready to leave by 8.10....

No need for refuelling, as we're only heading a few miles down the road. Plenty of time to do that on the way home ?

Got a couple of issues to sort on the 300 Saturday but should be good for Sunday.
perhaps best if I can have pass emailed as not 100% I can make Tesco's beforehand. Will have 2 passengers also if that makes any difference. Cheers Pete

You need to buy your own tickets from the beaulieu website. They used to sell them in the gate, but not sure they do that now as it makes the queue slow. It's £13 per person in the car I believe.

The display label is just for the Marshall's on the gate to direct us to our stand. It's not a ticket.

Yup - just as Tom says, the display label is only for the marshals' benefit, to show us where to head once inside.

You need to buy your tickets in advance, on the Simply Japanese website, they are £15 per person, if attending in a Japanese car on display.
