Hi and welcome back to the club mate!

If your Zed has only just started doing this after a cam belt change, then I would ask....

1. Who did the 'belt change
2. Did they use a genuine Nissan belt kit

The timing marks on non-OEM kits - even supposed quality brands like Blueprint - have been proven to be "out" And whilst a competent mechanic should still be able to perform a cambelt change, they would probably not realise that the timing marks were not quite right! One tooth either way, may not damage your engine, but the car sure as hell would not run right.

That's why I would only use a Nissan belt - and why I would only trust Jimmer to do the work, these days.

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I’m afraid that could be a variety of things.
As Richard says it could be the mechanical timing is off.

To do the belt though, the wiring harness will have been disrupted as would the inlet pipework. It could be as silly as the ECU temp sensor not seated correctly.

You’d have to start at the beginning. If you have access to software, it will make things much easier.
