Besides Z Centre, are there any other UK supplies of aftermarket parts, primarily spoilers that people use?

Or is it imports only? I want a new spoiler as I don't like one on the car but fancy something a bit different to the ones on Z Centre.

If your looking to order some Twinz stuff from Z1, count me in, maybe share the shipping costs somehow? 

The shipping is nutts expensive and they won't ship some of the bigger items, I was thinking about using these guys , the do a service where they will collect and pack it all

Then I looked at the cost, plus import , plus vat on everything, there was a European Twinz importer in Switzerland I think, but that's long since packed up 

 

So the wide kit I want Is a pipe dream ! 

Have you spoken to Z1 as to whether they would allow anyone else to ship their stuff?

 

I looked at the two spoilers I like and it’s about £1k all in to get them. Seems mad for two body items but I can’t find any other dealers (besides Z Centre) who can provide any

I spoke to Z1 and Twinz via Facebook and hit a dead end , I bought some stuff via a mail relay, that worked to an extent, but only saved a few bucks verses direct, the bigger pieces they flat out refuse to send overseas, so again you could use a relay but you don't know what the cost will be till they receive it.

 So I had a stupid idea of using that link I sent ya , having a crate dropped off at Z, flying out to pack it myself and the collecting in back in blighty, 

Then I read that they have a concierge service , so that may work better , because I want the wide kit and bonnet and front and rear bumpers , it's the big crate, 2k shipping plus vat and import duty and the rest, before you pay for the actual kit. 

So it's nutts, but I do want the upgraded turbos, intercoolers , and forged rebuild kit, they will ship.that lot and it's expensive, adding it together going for a crate doesn't seem that nutts. 

 

If you can think of any other way to get that kit brought over I'm in,

Can you not contact TwinZ directly? They list Euro/UK Spec rear diffusers etc so they must have a means of getting their parts over here. Whether thats with a European distributor or direct shipping. 

I did, I spoke to one of the brothers over Facebook 2 years ago when I got my TT,  they had a European agent, that stopped around 2012 ( iirc) they will only deal with Z1 

Shame. Seems really weird you can get them to ship big heavy gearboxes in crates but they wont send body items. Hope you get something figured out!

There’s a guy who’s got his Z in after mine at the bodyshop, who’s bought a full Twin Z wide body kit. Heres a photo of it all laid out on their floor - that’s my Z by the way.

He’s also getting a forged engine build with PowerZed.

I’ll ask one of them to find out how he managed to get it shipped over and let you know. Sounds like a right pain in the backside though.

I wonder if the OC could arrange to get everyone interested to club together and do one big order on everyone’s behalf, that way it might be possible to get cheaper shipping as it’s a bulk container or something like it?

Great idea, happy to chuck in for shipping and pay Z1 directly for parts  , wouldn't wanna arrange though , two young kids, full time.job, Mrs who likes to take away any spare time I have and who hates my Z 

Id be up for adding to the order and chipping in postage.  

Ok so the bodyshop said Jimmer sorted out the shipping. I then spoke to Jimmer and he said he believes Twin Z have trust issues... They don't want to send their kits out to any unknown people as they're worried about copycats, remanufacturing their parts etc. He got them to deliver the parts to him as he has been a customer of their's for 16 years!  

I would advise you to contact him to help you arrange sourcing these kits. Unsure if he'd be up for sorting a group buy or not - you'll have to ask him, as he is extremely busy all year round. 

I had no issues in shipping my rear spoiler, but I bought that along with a load of body trim pieces, which came in one big ass Z1 box. I guess the complete bodykits, because they're so bespoke, are the worry for them, rather than individual pieces. 

At least there is a way to get the bits - just involves jumping through a couple of hoops.

No worries at all! I think he got the kit from or via Z1, as he has been their customer for so long and yes Z1 will ship it to him.

Jimmer is trustworthy at the end of the day.  If he could sort things out, I think loads would buy.  I had a large order in with Z1 but they suddenly wanted an additional £800 shipping, after I waited months.

 

I'd love to buy these at Jimmers if it ever was or became a thing

Basically £2500 in shipping for the twins wide arch kit from Z1, the only place you can get it ....

Is that shipping just for the widebody kit? You’d need the rear bumper to go with the kit and probably the P-spec fascia so that’s $5000 for the kit + shipping (£2500+) + vat + handling fees and then you’ll be looking at a £10k+ bill to get it all fitted and painted!

If your Mrs doesn't like your Z now, you’ll be living in it after all that! ?

Nope, full kit plus front rear bumper and spoiler, just not the bonnet for £2500 shipping. 

 

When I spoke to z1 before lockdown, they flat out refused to post the bonnet, local collection only, as it's likely to get smashed to bits.
