So after using the wifes Audi TT throughout the pandemic to go to work, I've decided to buy myself a run around as she is going back to working in the office and I fancied my own little run around:

It's a Subaru Legacy 2.5L Boxer engine with AWD and a hi-low gear centre diff. It's done 171K, serviced every year by Subaru up to 4 years ago, then by a private garage. I'm the 3rd owner. The bodywork and boot interior is a bit tatty as its was tip run car/dog car, but I gave it a really good clean and polish and some of the damage has disappeared. It came with the roof bars and tow bar, so that's helpful and saved about £300. I'll probably never need them, but good to know I have them. I wanted something a little beaten up and old, so that I don't want to spend money on it (I want all my money to spend on my zed) but at the same time I wanted something a little different, a little cool and fun. How much you ask? £850... It's worth that for the pillarless doors...

You're a smart man sir. I made the mistake of buying a cheaper daily car that turned out to be in really good condition and increasing in value, so ended up spending a little on it. Wish I bought a cheaper beater car now!

Value for money there is epic - gotta love the pillarless doors.

Always been a big fan of Legacy's and Impreza wagons. There's a guy with a clean Scooby wagon up the road from me - when I'm out cleaning the car, always look up when I hear that classic boxer engine burble pass by ?.

It is quiet when inside the car, but if I have the window down I can hear the classic burble. It is a non-turbo, but does pull well. I think with an air filter and a nice stainless system on it, it will sound better.....no......dont spend money on it!!!!!

Haha control the urge to modify - man maths can make you do mad things! TBH at a higher mileage, I'd be glad it's non turbo - less to go wrong and a less stressed engine so should last longer really.

Good find - well done ?. Must get myself an estate some day.
