I tried doing a few searches and I've sent some emails out to no avail. I even found my old post from over ten years ago asking a similar question. Sadly my zed needs a lot of work and I am based around wembley/willesden now. Any recommendations/suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you all in advance.

Although not in your immeadiate area it would be well worth the effort to get your car to Jim at PowerZed near Bristol.

Seconded......

Jim is the ZX-pert - and barely 100 miles west along the M4, now that his new premises is just off j18.

Richard?

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

100% Jim. I don't have experience of any other Zed mechanics (that are still in business) to compare to but then again...I've never had to find someone to compare against.

With those strong recommendations it is hard to ignore.

I live in Folkestone & have never used power zed.

in Hythe there is a chap called Fabian who owns Jap Motors Ltd not sure it’s any closer for you though.

he knows his way around a Zed too.

he did my cam belt lest year, has done my manual conversion this year changed my air compressor last month, & the only one to change not one but two automatic gearboxes some years back for me.

Hi everyone thanks so much for the replies!

The car is not running and needs a lot of work, so ideally I'd avoid a longer trip which would be costly as I'd have to hire out a truck to carry it.

I tried emailing zedperformance last much but haven't had a response, I'll send a chaser.

It sounds like powerzed is the place to go so far though so I'll reach out to them and see what can be done.

Please drop any other suggestions here in the future I'm sure this thread could be useful to others, and I will keep everyone updated on how things go.

Thanks again everyone.
