I shall refrain from my usual "Jeff is excellent" rhetoric and give just ONE example:

 

Took the Zed to the most reputable Nissan dealer I could find in my region for its 60K service. Paid a tad under £850 for the pleasure and a short while later, a hose came off the water pump (they had replaced) causing the Zed to overheat on the way to Malvern. Got it back to the dealer and was told that it was all my fault as I did not tell them the car was an import and that due to this error on my behalf, both head gaskets needed changing (for which they wanted £5K) and that this might only be the tip of the iceberg.

 

Managed to get in touch with Jeff via a recommendation and took my Zed down to him. After exhaustive tests (which he did free of charge) the heads were found to be utterly fine and all that was wrong with the car was filthy throttle bodies for which he charged me £15. He had every chance to either screw me over or screw up, neither of which occured.

 

Seting up shop as a car repair outfit brings with it a titanic amount of responsibility, especially in this case with the type of car in question. Even a slight error can lead to tragedy but in my DIRECT experience, Zedworld offers every little bit the dedicated and vigilant service required to make such tragedy the exception to the rule.

Seeing as youre in Switzerland, it may cost you more in fuel than you save on repairs!!

This is a clique'y paranoid forum, where folks just want to get one over on each other. If you express an opinion that goes against the 'big four' hahaha - you are sh|tlisted.

 

Henri - goto http://www.zedworld.co.uk and call the fella that runs the business, hell maybe even arrange for someone you know to go down there with a Zed and have some work done.

 

Then YOU can make an objective decision on the kind of service you have received, as you wont get an objective opinion here.

 

Failing that, take your car to Abbey Motorsport. They might not know much about Zeds, but they did build 'Rocket Ronnies' GTR 33 Skyline, and as I am sure you are aware, RB26DETT's are far more important than VG30DETT's when it comes to getting from A to B quickly.

Skylines and Bill Hicks eh? nice combo, as for Zedworld I have never met the owner or had any work done there. In fact I dont care much for the place one way or the other.

 

Given that my sig contains a picture of my GTR and the url for billhicks.com I think its bound to come up from time to time here dont you think ;) there is a button up top of your screen Paul called 'user cp' - its all explained there if you dont understand.

My advice:

 

stay away from Nissan dealers. They seem to have as much idea about the 300ZX as I do about the rear end of Pluto.

 

I have ben on the beer a bit so inhibitions aside I can say that Jeff is a fine bloke and this forum does not give him enough credit (a general statement not reflecting on all members).

 

Make your own minds up from direct experience. If you din`t try the wine, you cannot comment on its taste. That`s all.

Nope, I DO have a point...

 

I just discovered that he's using some of MY COPYRIGHTED material on HIS website....without asking any kind of permission....and I certainly do NOT like this lack of professionalism, or attitude...

 

So I'm asking how this indivial is perceived by Z-Drivers, depending on how he rates, he may only have a "slap on the wrist", or an official , legal complain letter about copyright infringement.

Any more glowing recomendations ;)

Zed world did my 60k service about 4 months ago.

 

The biggest problem was the journey from Hemel up to Tamworth.

 

The service was excellent as compared with the Nissan dealer and I shall use him next time.

 

The best part was the journey back - the new air filters clearly had improved performance.

Oh dear, another person gets ripped off by the tamworth pygmy... This was my problem right from the start - taking advantage of other peoples work for own profit... Maybe he doesn't understand copyright?

 

Waiting for my next roasting now :D I guess I'm one of the "BIG FOUR"???? Does that mean I cannot comment? I know a LOT more people who are seriously unhappy but won't post because of the fvckin annoying idea of "The big four". There is no such thing - yes there are people who speak their mind and aren't scared to do so - is that sooo wrong??? I think not ;)

Jeff from Zedworld here, I see you have asked a question on the 300zx forum concerning myself and that maybe I have mistakenly used an image or gif or whatever???? that you have a copyright on.

 

I have no clue to which part of my website has caused you concern I would welcome you to explain in more detail, and if as you say there is a problem it will be changed.

 

I have no reason to "steal" any copyrighted material and if this has occured it will be a simple mistake.

 

I am assuming it is an image of some type? I do search the web for suitable images but do not take them direct from other`s web sites, often they are available for download or someone uses them as in a post on another site so assume in this case they are NOT subject to any copyright.

 

However as you seem to feel there is some infringment let me know so the correct course of action can be taken to clear the problem .

 

Your comment quoted below is very assumtive, please do not take this wrong but mistakes are made and a simple request to me by mail or whatever would have sorted this out without the need for you comments???

Hmm, the big four huh?

 

It has been apparent to me for a while that this forum is very clicky but I didn`t really worry about it too much. People can say what they feel and not be afraid to in any forum, be it on the internet or other medium. However, coming up with a comment the likes of "the Tamworth pygmy" shows about as much respect as asking a white farmer in Zimbabwe how his crop went this year. Blatantly insulting, rude, ignorant and not the sort of comment I would expect from you Andy. You always semed like a reeeally cool bloke.
