I need to replace the fuel (and brake) lines that run front to back. The brake lines, my mechanic and I are happy with. The fuel lines look to be bigger, does anyone know the diameter? We think its 8mm, but need it confirming. Also what material should they be? Copper, like the brake lines? Steel which corrodes? Stainless? Can I buy preformed sections that go up and over the rear subframe? I have spent the last three days on the internet and seem to only find info about braided stainless line for the engine bay.

there are 3 full lines to the tank part numbers are 17523-30P20 return line 17510-30p20 and fuel vapour line 17530-42p20 which I think will probably all be discontinued, but take a look at jp parts in the link and you may get some details. I'll guess current lines are steel and I would say are 8mm in line with the fuel lines under the bonnet.

I had them replaced as cooper. No issues. No idea on diameter, sorry

Excellent, thanks for the help guys. Completely re-buliding my rear end (!) at the moment and replacing everything that is normally difficult to get to because of the rear sub-frame

The hard lines are 8mm (OD) and the fuel vent line was 5 or 6mm (OD)
