Hi all

im new to the forum but not to Z’s this will be my second, first was an immaculate white 2+2 JDM import however number 2 is far from immaculate. Needs extensive rear sill and rear pocket repairs, but, should be able to save her from the crusher!

If by replacement you mean OEM - new '89 spec spoilers are NLA (at least in Europe). However it would be worth trying a Nissan parts dept or allcarpartsfast.co.uk as thay

still occasionally turn up in stock. Part# J6030-42P25. The fit and finish of the OEM spoiler is much better than the replicas. However they will be expensive if you can locate one.

If you do manage to get one then I can show you how to mount it on the tailgate with the maximum protection to avoid the water  damage which kills them. Before I got a

new OEM spoiler I bought a Kuruma Z Zeta replica but was very disappointed in the fit and sold it on. Another alternative (similar shape) is the TwinZ (Joely P has one fitted).

This one is now for sale on eBay I believe. Sharing on the club in case any members are looking for a UK spec to buy, in the best colour of course!

I'm always surprised by people that say "its ready for an MOT" or "needs very little to MOT it". If it indeed only needs wiper blades, a battery clamp and a new washer bottle, then why not do it and get it MOT'd? Cars will sell for more with a 12 month MOT, so why not spend the £10 for wipers, £15 to banzai for a battery clamp and £10 for the washer bottle. Even if you pay someone to do all that, its only an hours work. you would make the £100 by selling it with an MOT. My cynical side would set off alarm bells on any car (not just zeds)... It could well be a great car, I have not seen it or researched it, but I would start wondering why the current owner doesn't want to MOT it if its such an easy pass....?

Also RED is the best colour ??

1990 Black MT NA LWB = 2014 - 2020 (Sold)

1991 Red MT TT LWB = 2015 - 2017 (Stripped & Scrapped)

1991 Red MT TT LWB = 2017 - 2021 (Sold)

1991 Black MT TT LWB = 2018 - 2021 (Sold)

1989 Red AT TT LWB = 2021 - XXXX (Kept)

If I was looking for a daily driver and it was stated the car was almost ready for an MOT, I’d run a mile. This ones an ongoing project though and the value is in it being a stock UK TT manual, although I don’t value UK specs higher than our Jap specs, most others do. Someone experienced enough to complete this project, will probably be in a good place to check out the whole car and negotiate a fair price, considering the likely work a car of this age needs, especially one that’s been sat for a few years unused.

Also Blue FTW! [emoji3]

sorry to resurrect an ancient thread, didn’t realise my car was being discussed here.

why is it 99% ready for an MOT? i had 2x more kids since buying this, i should have never bought it in the first place but i have major impulse problems. I can’t afford it, I couldn’t afford it then and I can’t afford to run it now! it’s an honest car, i’ve only just now managed to fit all the timing kit, new belt, tensioner pulleys and aux belts... time and money are a major concern.

I got all excited about finally being able to drive it to an MOT after i’ve freed up washer pumps, fitted new wiper blades etc and now it has a misfire. i’m emotionally drained with the car, can’t afford it anyway. it’s up in the air at the moment so anyone can get a clear honest view of the cars condition. i’m very tempted now to sell it for a sensible offer.

if you have the time and know how im sure it will make someone A) a nice Zed and B) some profit.

anyone genuinely interested please call / text me, would like it to go to a good home. i’ve preserved it for the community and not got to drive 😞
