Hi Guys,

I have a manual UK spec TT 1994 Z32 which I am trying to clean up a bit, and I'm looking to replace the front driver's side indicator light housing which is cracked and filling with water.

My front indicator lights are in housings which also contain a white "side light", and are located in the enclosures that are immediately either side of the front numberplate, on the front of the car.  Looking around at photos and eBay etc, it seems as though this is a bit unusual... most Z's seem to have their indicators on the front quarters of the car instead (these for me are fog lights...)   Is my lighting arrangement particular to the UK spec of car?

I guess next question is anyone selling one....

Question after that is would it be hard to change things round and have the "other spec" lighting arrangement... anyone done it?

Thanks!

Tim

UK models dont have fog lights but have indicators next to numberplate and black blanks with no bulbs to sides. Jdm have foglights next to numberplate and indicators on the sides next to them. Unfortunatelly they are not interchangeable. It is possible to change them, you would probably have to run new wires and join them to the rear foglight fuse and have them work at the same time or run a separate switch.

Yes, it is the Euro/UK specification. You can change the indicator/sidelights and black blanks for JDM/US spec foglights

and JDM spec indicator sidelights with modification to the existing harness (not hard to do).

You can see what they look like on my UK spec car by clicking "View my Z Profile" under my Avatar. The JDM spec

indicators/sidelights I fitted have had the orange filters removed. The foglights are not wired up (I never use them).

Hi and welcome!!

Answers as already given above.... It is indeed easy to change the UK set-up to JDM. Alternatively, you can update your UK set-up, if you don't fancy adding front fogs - I cleared out my orange UK-spec indicators and installed daytime running lights into the blank corner units.

Hi All - thanks so much for the replies!

Hmmmn,  I think it looks like Option 2 for me... I like the idea of simply swapping out the indicator clusters, and then making the blanks into daytime running lights... or maybe have them also come off the side lights (I drive everywhere with sidelights on... Volvo had the right idea... ? )

I will try my hand at putting something in the Classified ads for the JDM indicator clusters.

Thanks again - it's a huge help!
