Hi,

Can someone advise what is best to do for replacement front shocks? The OEM ones are a long wait from Japan (probably even longer with whats going on at the moment!) and I have heard some horror stories about after market ones. I've been quoted 528 dollars each from stock in the US which seems a tad silly. Any suggestions?

KYB and Tokico are good aftermarket brands. I have been using KYB's for years without problems.

Concept Z Performance (conceptzperformance.com) in the US have both brands in adjustable and non-adjustable forms.

I'd forgot all about KYBs, very good shocks used to run the KYB AGX adjustables on my old 200sx and very good shock like Andrew said

I currently have Tokicos on my 300. I’ve got them set to the softest setting and they’re comfortable enough but I’ve no idea how they compare to OEM, set on level 3 they’re way to hard for me. This set up is on standard springs.

They quoted me over 500 dollars each for OEM so fair old price difference here! I dont mind spending a few hundred a corner if need be but didnt want to go to over double that!

After 20-odd years, there's a good chance your springs will be a tad worn and saggy too.....:classic_wink:

If you're now thinking of replacing the lot, then go for a set of coilovers. All four corners will be new and matching - and for less than a set of separate shocks and springs; especially after factoring in delivery, VAT and duty if you buy from the USA.

Just my humble opinion.....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
