Hi everyone. ?️

I thought I'd introduce myself as a new member. I'm currently on the lookout for a 300Z TT manual. I've been trying to decide what to buy next. I will be buying in May/June next year.

I currently own a mk1 Eunos and I've had a mk2 RS Roadster, an NA Supra manual and a TT manual Supra, so I thought of something completely different. I've always had my eye on 300Z's, and they look like great cars!

I would love to go test drive one right now, but there's no a whole lot of point until I'm ready to get one haha. What are 300Z's like to drive?

If I can't find one in the UK, then I will have to import but I'd rather not do this. ?

Welcome to the club Zedd__86 ? You will find that a 300zx TT  is the best car you have ever driven from the 1990's era . They look so different from anything else on the road and drive with so much effortless  power. ?

Hi Gaz. ?️ I wish I had driven one much earlier!

The challenge now is just finding one as the TT manual 2+0 is bloody rare! I expect I'll have to import one from Japan, but I might get lucky and find one here. I'm looking for one either in white or pearl red.

Yeah I agree, there isn't a car like it on the road today. I'm looking forward to driving one when the time comes. ?

Do you know of any good specialists that can work on the 300ZX? (I live in Hampshire).

Seems to be a couple of people after shorty TT now [emoji106]

? I was debating on which model to get, but having an SWB TT is a no brainer for me. I just to find one now. It could be more challenging than I think as they're quite rare...in the UK anyway. ?

Yes they are and plus even more so to find a good one.

Exactly right. To be honest, I that I will have to import from Japan if I want to find a good SWB TT manual, but I may get lucky and be in the right place at the right time. I very much doubt that though haha. ?

That's nice, thanks for the link. ? Unfortunately I'm not able to buy until at least April/May next year so this will be long gone. ?

I love that colour though! My mate has a deep jewel green Supra TT6, and this is the same sort of colour. Haven't seen a 300ZX in this colour before. ?

I cannot see a year but the engine is the later type, it's a 93 onwards for absolute sure ?.

Yeah that would be perfect. Not a fan of the spoiler though as I'm quite the sucker for the stock look (with very subtle body modifications), but I do like that green one. She'll be long gone sadly. ??

It'll need more than the seller is letting on but might be a good base, a L/H mirror for starters !!!

The passenger side carpet doesn't look in great nick either. Hope there hasn't been any water ingress. ?

That's the mat though, mucky as the seller's been to a breakers yard to pick up that mirror !!

I'm not sure about this one now haha. Shame it's not in great nick but nothing a little TLC can't fix though. ?

A potential to look at. Not a bad price for a manual TT shorty

Yeah I was discussing this very one with phutumsch. It doesn't look too bad, but it's a little rough around the edges. Nothing TLC can't fix though.

What's important is whether it has any rust issues and whether the engine is had been looked after. ??

Errrmmmm, thanks for the link Marty [emoji849] [emoji12]

That's the problem I have. I've been bitten recently when buying a sports car, and I'm not letting that happen to me again. I'd rather buy a Z on here as they're cherished and looked after. ?

Welcome to the club, good luck on your search.

Happy hunting I would start viewing now though to get a feel for what is out there. That green one is now on auction so see how it does. Any Zed is worth getting a full inspection on these days as owners may genuinely be unaware of what problems lurk and equally long lists of faults on MOT sheets can be common with the age it’s just about getting right into the detail and pricing accordingly.
