I was driving back home from my mums at Leeds to Harrogate the other night when I came up behind some traffic on an A road.

 

Remember my auto box only has 1st and 2nd gears at the moment ;)

 

I blasted past the 4 or 5 cars in front at about 70mph almost at the red line in 2nd (!) and to my suprise the car behind me followed me then on the next straight roared past. It was a nice silver Supra with a huge HKS exhaust that sounded the biz!

Just my luck - I've never come up against one on the road in 3 years and now my box is shagged!

I kept up with him as the road is fairly twisty and you can't do much over 70 anyway and we blasted past loads of other cars until he slowed to let me past.

I shot past and he had the window down grinning at me LOL

He came past on a long straight and left me standing as I could only really cruise at 60 without the revs being too silly.

He slowed at a roundabout to let me follow and as we headed into Harrogate up a long hill with overtaking lane I blasted past.

I was looking in my rearview mirror expecting him to be trying to get past and nearly went up the arse of a police scooby!

The copper was doing about 35 and I must have been close to 70 with my front 130W fogs on so he must have seen me but didn't do anything LOL

We pulled into a petrol station and chatted about Jap cars for about half an hour and he said he was going to buy a Z before getting the Supra.

His car was standard he said but he had water injection and the huge HKS zorst on the back.

He was suprised when I told him I only had 2 gears :D

Turns out he lived about 6 miles away in Leeds and only followed me for the blast! LOL

Nice bloke anyway.

How can you tell if its a TT Supra or a NA Supra. There are about 3 round here and I have a feeling they are all NA

Have you got around to diagnosing the problem with your box yet??

Yes it's shagged LOL

The diags showed no fault so it looks like the clutch packs are worn out.

The fluid is brown and smells burnt so time for a rebuild :(
