I was in to visit my customer today and spotted this UK zed on the ramps.

 

Always a pleasure to help out with a zed so i nipped home to get my conzult.

 

Few issues but no error codes showing on conzult as far as i can see.

 

Couldn't get her up to temperature even after 15 minutes so i think you have a stuck open temperature stat.

 

• Found a fuel leak near the FPR which i'm sure Kevin can sort.
  
• Disconnected left side pcv valve which has an after market hose on it - reconnected.
  
• 
  
• Fair amount of smoke coming out both tails pipes so worth swapping out the pcv valves ?
  
• 
  
• We can hear a thudding noise when turning to the right - needs further investigation.
  
• 
  
• tps was sitting at 0.47 roughly so needs adjusted down - never had time to change this myself.
  
• 
  
• gearbox felt hard to push into gear - this could be down to the linkage in the gear lever connecting the gearbox arm.
  

 

Also noticed a zedworld sticker on the side glass so maybe Jeff recognises this zed.

 

Let Kev know the next time you plan to come down and i can arrange to come out, only stay 5 min from the garage.

Yes sounds right, of course he will be running lower boost as a consequence and ignition timing and fuelling for cold running.

  Worth a go, and the rubber pipes as they go hard and brittle and leak air which upsets the complete pcv system

  0.47 is fine leave alone, make sure the closed throttle is set correctly and the throttle butterflys are set too.

Defo will be the gearbox harness caught up in the linkage

I was in looking at it for 20 minutes before i had to head home again.

 

Not even sure the owner is a member on here but it was strange he went out his way to goto that particular garage from glasgow.

 

I'm thinking its someone i've spoke to previously then i recomended the garage to him.

That was my brothers, sold it about a year ago, see it on gumtree couple of months ago for sale again for about £1200 more than what my brother sold To him for and nothing had been done to it, Basically everything the advert described was what my brother had already done.

My brother wasn’t on the site but attended a couple of advents with me like castle coombe and Beaulieu.
