Thanks Craig Its nice alright, after I bought it and from messages from other owners, it seems its the only SR311 possibly in Europe, there are none in the UK, there are some SRL311 which is the lhd and there are some rhd 1500 and 1600s in the UK but no 2000s So a rare little car on this side of the world. mostly of them in Australia and Japan

Hub280zx has the same Fairlady model as you Trish at least I think its the same.

I had the pleasure of driving a little Datsun Roadster out in the US a couple of years ago. Wonderful little cars, quite raw and from a time when cars were very different to drive than today!

Yes kinda the same, but they are both SRL311 which is the left hand drive for the USA market. Subtle difference in the SR311 which is mine the right hand drive, and the competition pack model was only for the Aussie market RHD which had the Solex carbs, a high lift cam and a bigger aluminium oil pan giving 150BHP as against the standard 135. Just some more pedantic info
