everytime i see jeremy hunt i wonder "is he a robot" i mean they forgot to program a personailty into this guy but hey ho thats most politicians for ya

To be honest I would rather have Theresa May but anybody rather than Jeremy Corbyn and Labour.

I’d rather Cameron had stayed in office and none of this pointless time/resource wasting nonsense had happened.

Finally a PM who believes in Great Britain! He should have been made PM in 2016 and spared us the agony and humiliation

of the dreadful failure of May's tenure.

To paraphrase her Lancaster house speech "No Theresa May is better than a bad Theresa May"

I am going along with this too....

I do concede that Si has a point about David Cameron. He should not have staked his political career on Brexit; granted, he promised and delivered a referendum, but he should have remained impartial and, as PM, stepped in to clean up the mess whichever way the public voted.

Brexit is not (or rather should not be) an embarrassment, though. Fact is, the public voted for it, despite the narrow majority, so it's morally right that the government delivers it. Boris, I think (and hope), will surprise us all. Granted, he has failed to rule out a "no deal" Brexit - but so would I. Not for a minute would I contemplate that, though - you can't reveal your hand in the negotiations. If the EU thinks Boris will walk away, they may be more inclined to reach an amicable deal. It's a bit like Corbyn publicly saying he'll never use nuclear weapons - truth is, no sane world leader would - but in saying so, you are inviting your enemies to attack, safe in the knowledge you won't defend your country.

Fingers crossed, Boris has matured; and can unite this great country once more....:clover:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Sadly, hypocrisy runs rich through Boris’s veins. Mind you, it does with many MPs’.

Another white, old Etonian, male, overprivileged, upper class twit - just what this country needs. How many more PMs do they have to lose before realising what happens when you try to appease swivel-eyed loons over Europe? Unfortunately, the Labour party haven't spotted that the UK simply won't wear hard-left PMs - how many more elections do they have to lose before that gets through to them?

Sir whats his name, who resigned from the Foreign office yesterday morning, is quoted as saying 'Brexit was just a tantrum of the working Classes'

If I'd have heard him saying that I would have told him to Eff Off in no uncertain terms

MMmmm, okay, the king is dead, long live the king.

My question is, amongst many, is... How can a change in leadership make that much of a difference to the current views and standpoints of parliament?

I am of the view that no one individual can resolve our issues with speeches of confidence and the stiff upper lip, we are in desperate need of actions rather than words.

Parliament needs to take a strong look inwards in my opinion.

I was affronted when the British people were accused of lacking confidence and faith in our abilities, after all, a decade of Austerity takes its toll on the most stoic of people.

Sadly you're right on that bit Si - apostrophe aside  Most are now just self-serving career politicians, who have had no real life experience yet think they know best. Only time will tell, yet I remain optimistic - if only because Boris is the best hope of keeping Corbyn and Farage at bay!!

So Teresa May got a standing ovation. Whilst she did try, trying ones’s hardest doesn’t really cut it past primary school.

I once went to the chip shop and ordered fish and chips. The chip shop manager worked hard and with great stoicism and handed over my fish and chips in record time. When I opened the paper I discovered that it contained a battered human shite and crispy chips. I stood back and applauded his laudable efforts.

She did try hard, and should be applauded, in my opinion.

The reason she failed is because most other members of Parliament act like they are still in primary school.

Well I watched BJ's speech made outside No10 yesterday and experienced something I've not

felt in the 3 grinding years of TM's disaster as PM - Optimisim! I found myself smiling.

There is a bit of a Churchill in him I think.
