Hello, I've been restoring a Celica gt4 Carlos Sainz over the past few years and shes all but done , ready to take on a new project, a friend of mine had a uk zed in white a long long time ago, I was always double jealous, but I couldnt afford the running costs let alone the car , now 20 years later, depreciation and a better job means I can look at taking one on.

 

I don't want a garage queen and I'm not afraid of hard work, but I want a manual tt 2+2 to rebuild , modify and keep. Pass on to the kids if we can still have petrol cars in 10 years.

 

I've spotted the black on one ebay, but £4500 and having sat for 18 years? So every seal will have dried up, probs needs a load of welding , is that not like loads of money? It's on its second eBay advert so it's obviously to expensive , but what do restro's go for ?

Thanks Gaz, yeah it's all about condition, but just looking at the pics both rear arches are hammered, bumps and dinks, scratches all.over , when you buy a Mot running car for 5 /6k does seems expensive, the wide body one on ebay you is at 5 at the he momentum, may go for more...

Welcome. Theres a nice red UK zed on Ebay for just under £6k with best offer. It's an auto but well worth the money if it's as good as it looks.

Thank you buddy, she's in my watch list, but I can't face a auto, needs to be manual, or one cheap enough to have it converted, I was pricing that up on the zedworld web site, drive in and out service and look very reasonable cost wise, but then the advert for the widebody grey one on ebay says they have closed ???? Is it JeffTT on here's business?

I wouldn't rule out an auto completely, if the car is in great shape then you can always do the conversion at a later stage. Jeff has retired now, speak to jimmer at Powerzed in Bristol, he is the only guy you should take your zed to.

Jeff is still here but retired and moved to Portugal. As for auto's they are still great boxes and a lot of our members use them. I had an auto in my first Z and it was great and is still being used by another club member.

Welcome to the club. I'll be putting mine up for sale soon once I resubscribe to the club. Its a Red TT UK Manual, wide arch model.Unfortunately I let its MOT run out but you should see an advert on here hopefully in the next 2 - 3 weeks.

Guys am I the only one on here that wants to see a restored Carlos Saint, I very nearly bought one of these some years ago, cracking cars, and similar to the Z in my mind that they never seemed to be valued in the same vain, as all the Supras and Skylines etc. Given their rally pedigree, I hope they have increased in price now Dazzler?

HI bigh, the real Carlos Sainz come up for sale that little its hard to judge the value, I didn't pay slot for mine, it had been sat in barn for 2 years , it had been tracked and not looked after by the previous owner , but luckily the owner before him is the unofficial Carlos Sainz owners club President and all round guru, I joined the Celica owners club and he got in touch right away, he's been a massive help, he has about 5 CS's he's constantly looking to reserect as many as he can. Also luckily one of the main GT4 restoerers is just down the road and a double good guy - MK automotive.

 

She's took a good few £££ to sort all the problems , especially the rust , and I don't wanna add it all up. But only 400 CS came to the UK , and that alone should sure up the values at some point. She's no garage queen and rough and ready , but finally she is getting used more and once the ksport 8 pots and 18's are on , she'll be a daily driver , kinda

.

Also I've thrown a bid in the silver 300zx tt on ebay , seems to have had a lot of engine work , I dont like the wheels.or the spoiler , but it's local ish and manual.

 

And I know it's a daft idea and gonna cost a fortune but I desperately want to build a wide body twinz , can't stop looking at em. I can imagine importing the kit is horrendously expensive. But man alive I think it looks cool.

That would be great buddy, eBay seems to be full of bellends, that black one I was after , the guy said it was 3500 but wouldn't send me the reg, the blue one at 3950 , the guy won't reply to any questions, so a real sale would be great
