You can actually still get the bearings and they’re not expensive. I’ll have a root around for the spec although Joel might remember the part number.

Ah thanks, just could not remember about all car parts....

Hi Jeff,

The original pulley has an NTN bearing swaged I to place but the bearing can still be teased out with a press. The NTN replacement bearings are peanuts relative to a new OEM assembly! Just make sure the pulley is still true as mine was somehow misshaped!

Post from replacement (not very helpful!):

Bearing used (helpful):

PN: NTN 6301 LLU C3

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F232349937763

The 6301 is the size of the bearing (12x37x12), LLU means it is rubber sealed to protect from the elements (same as the stock bearing) and the C3 denotes a clearance size in the bearing races. I was advised on this from a bearing specialist due to the constant rotation speed and heat variations for longevity. That is the exact part and manufacturer that is installed in the OEM pulleys.

Erm, how do you do rep??

Forgot to mention, it can be reinstalled with basic tools, the right size socket on the outer race, keeping it level and driving it home (if they don’t have access to a press). Once it’s fully home, there is just enough beef left on the outer edge to peen the edge over in a few places to hold it in place (assuming you don’t have the right size swage tool!), that said, I still installed mine with some Loctite bearing adhesive for belt and braces. It will need pressing out though.
