HI all , sorry if I appear to be getting above myself as a junior member etc , but seeing the recent threads about M3's , Sklarks etc vs the Z , I thought I'd throw a few thoughts in.

Like most of you I have owned shedloads of cars , at the age of 37 insurance doesn't affect me too much these days.

In the last 3 years I've had 2 M3's , 2 Cossies ( Escort/Saff) ,

An Audi s4 , blah blah blah.

The reason I now drive the Z is down to one thing...they damn sexy looking pimp mobiles!

The others were maybe better engineered cars...well definiteley , but didn't float the proverbial boat visually , and the Z aint no slouch , as you all know.

Sorry to preach to the converted ( I need more posts so I can chuck a decent pic in...lol)

Dil

ps and the point was?.....I forget d'oh

Better engineered ? Which ?

LOL too true:D

Now the Skyline is a real piece of master engineering, but what were Nissan thinking when they designed the shell?

What a joke! I have seen better looking Fords LOL:D

I mean at least the Z looks like a true Sports car;0

Why I bought one....

Well...there's just nothing else on the road that makes me go "ooooohhh...." :D

The Zed always has and I think, always will. :)

And in addition to the above, Motor Trend in the US said (when launched)

Dollar for dollar, it's the best damn sports car on the planet.

Still true today.

It was Nissan's engineering flagship to show off that they could build not just sports cars but also world-class supercars.

And it also makes me go "oooohh" but probably in not quite such a girly way. ;)

Gio

after my triumph 2000 and my 68 wolseley

both down for the count , i was looking for

something powerfull and leather ..

decided on the zed , bst car i ever had.

..still smilling ....

...may the power be with all zeds...

Nelson , Imho the Audi and Beemers probably gave me less trouble than the Z will ( touch wood I could be wrong though)

The saff cossie was pretty together and the Escort never went wrong.

Maybe I need a car to spend loads on...lol

Cheers Dil

Lol...No. :p

I'll demonstrate it if I ever meet you at one of these get togethers. ;)

its got to be said that the looks of the zed are way better than the skyline. the skyline suffers from the same problem the scooby does in looks, its abox standard looking saloon with a turbo engine. the looks just dont do it, although i do like the R33/34.

The zed has that supecar look and it does the business in performance as well, and if you have deep pockets you can pull stacks of extra power out of it to make it a real monster.

Cosworths? yuk its a ford and always will be.

cheers

Might just hold my tongue here, lest I end up hung, drawn and quartered :D

chaaaAAAAAAse me, chaaaaAAAaase me...

And you'll have to make do with that :P

The reasons I bought a Zed was it was the only Japaneese (reliability), turbo (easy to upgrade), rear/4wd, (handling), targa roofed (structural rigidity), uk spec (ease of getting parts) available with leather (wipe clean:p ) car I could think of!

Plus I had always had Nissans so stick with what you know!
