I've just ordered a full manual conversion for my Z!

Was looking at a manual gearbox & told him I wanted to do a conversion & they are supplying all parts!

I have another autobox to be fitted soon! my 4th!!

Just to get the Z on the road.

When satisfied that I have all the correct bits for the conversion then I will get it done.

I have also just ordered a cambelt & necessary 60K bits off Mike F.

So some work to do!

Your making the right choice, the Z’s autobox is rubbish. You’ll realise how much better your car is as soon as it’s manual.

In May I thought I’d sorted a manual conversion kit.

Having not heard from them, so yesterday I gave them a ring & sadly no they haven’t got one!

So the hunt goes on, there is a manual one on eBay at the moment.

I thought £850 was a bit pricey?

In the past month my Z has now had a full cambelt change, another smooth changing autobox plus a new MOT.

So I think that is around £1800:ohmy: after all it is a Zed!

Jobs planned when back off hols this (Sunday) is off to the body & paint shop.

The front jacking rails are dented & need attention & to see what they can do my three rust spots that have come to my notice.

Personally I'd be happy to pay £850 if I knew the box and clutch booster were good, but otherwise it is a little steep IMO

More or less what I paid (for the used bits) of my conversion.

Have seen manual conversions advertised for £1000 plus. Don't think that's too bad a price depending on how much you know about the box.

Yeah, £850 is about the going rate. I'd personally consider a brand new 98+ transmission.
