Very easy done mate. They should make the nozzel for diesel bigger then it wont fit in the petrol fuel neck.

In shell the pumps for v power petrol and diesel are same colour I look in future lol

Lucky escape, new cars can cost £1000’s if wrong fuel is put in.

…..They do Gaz - at least they do over here in the mainland!! However I believe imported Zeds don't have the same restrictor in the filler neck, that UK cars have. You can't fit a diesel nozzle into a petrol filler, if you drive a UK spec car:wink:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Ah there you are now and for the record I never had a diesel car so its probably the same here. Diesel the fuel of the devil lol

I had to be careful with my Nissan Pathfinder rental in the states last week.

I checked with the clerk and she confirmed to me it took ‘regular’ but the pumps/pipes were black !!

I could choose the octane which gave it away but I wasn’t 100%.

It would then stutter on the road which concerned me but it was the intelligent cruise control feature slowing me up when I was in proximity of a vehicle ahead.

Yup, they're swapped. 'Green' coloured pumps in the US are in fact all diesel.

I know my mate said the council fill up with shell and are constantly making the mistake will make me think twice thou

The other week when I used the Shell pump, I swear that it the pump spoke to me telling what type of fuel I had selected, when I had finished, the pump then told what ‘number’ it was so I didn’t forget by the time I reached the till!

Do you think they do it on purpose normal diesel should be first as the unleaded is.

have always wondered why they used the same colour and name branding for v power petrol and diesel as it is really confusing when they are on the same pump, as have picked up the wrong handle a couple of times on both our diesel and petrol cars, or have had to move pumps when the wrong vpower was on it.
