Unfortunately it has the really dated look that the early models have, that I am looking for a 1999/2000 one.

Each to their own. Would you not consider getting the “99 spec front bumper changed, rear lights and any of the other bits that tickle you?

Early models look so much better.

I don't really see the point in buying an older model only to then have to search for ages finding all the parts and spending more money. Some parts that were upgraded like the gearbox just wouldn't be worth sourcing for an older car.

How long have you been searching for a 99 spec Z now Alex?

Most of it is available new, but very expensive. 2k for headlights, 2k for gearbox, at least 1k for seats... you'd soon have a second Z.

Yes I have seen that one, I don't like the short wheel base model, the proportions look weird.

Well thats 99% of the memberships cars you dont like Alex. :confused1:

If they guy wants to buy a 99/00 spec and is happy to hunt and wait, then let him get on with it... Realistically if compromise isn’t on the table, he’s gonna have to import it if he wants it any time soon because there’s really only a handful already in the country.

Quite right Stephen  Its just very unusual for a 300zx lover to only like the last of the range LWB models only. We should make it our mission to find Alex his dream Z.

This has been advised to the OP a number of times already being so selective etc. Not listened yet.

That's exactly what has been said multiple times in the thread though Stephen.

Given the very specific criteria, it is already known there are unlikely to be any already imported that are for sale privately, if they are not being advertised by importers already.

OP should give his requirements for someone to find and import, rather than just keep waving the £25k under the noses of people that know there isn't one available otherwise.

He might even have had one by now in that case.

Looks like we have been helping though Gary, and import is the only realistic option.

In which case, i am sure one could have been sourced and imported by now, considering when the thread was started and the import advice given.

I also find this frustrating

I got in touch with gazwoz in late January about importing one. I haven't heard from gazwoz for a while, and that is presumably because nothing matching the criteria has come up yet. I have been checking sites in Japan regularly myself and I have been in touch with other importers, so I am inclined to believe that is the case.

I don't know why people are getting angry about this, if this thread is a problem I can ask one of the moderators to remove it.

No one's angry, it's just that it's been suggested you go to Japan to get exactly what you want a number of times as what you want never comes up for sale in this country.

There are more importers than Gazwoz. Get in touch with Josh Lake at Gorilla Imports (again, already mentioned).

Well it didnt take long to find a purple 99 spec manual on Goo.net.2 million Yen and its yours.Dealer car for sale now.
