Hi guys,

I kind of dissapeared after making my first post but I've returned...

I've been trying to find the best way to remap/chip the ECU but I'm not making much progress. I can find some bits and pieces on the 1996 model however anyone I've spoken to is clueless about the 1997, I myself haven't been able to find much on it at all.

Can anyone suggest the best route to map the ECU in it - it's a jap import TT auto(I know I know auto...). Would it be an Eprom, new ecu or anything?

Thanks in advance guys.

Matt

Depends on your budget, but Nistune daughter board my suit what you want. Greg @ Protuner supplies fits and maps them.

Your other options are a standalon ecu like a Haltech, Link or Syvecs or an off the shelf eprom and swap to an earlier 8 bit ecu. However I wouldn’t suggest the latter as they take the “one size fits all approach” and are a far cry from optimising YOUR engine

Thanks for the advice, how much should I expect a nistune board to set me back?

A board install and map at Gregs is £745.You will need an earlier 8 bit Ecu for the Nistune to fit,And an EBC installed for boost control.
