How Do,

Where are you guys buying oil filters from these days?

Do you recommend a particular brand or do you go OEM?

Oil- Just so you know, Europarts are selling 5 litres of Shell Helix Ultra 5W-40 for £19.24 with the code FLASH50 at checkout.

Cheers.

You are joking!?

Unfortunately, some of us mere mortals are not the "fountain of knowledge" about Zeds. I was thinking that there might be somewhere I hadn't heard of that was selling them cheaper than the usual suspects. :smartass:

Nissan filter and 5 litres of 10w 40 semi synthetic will be all you need.

Hi Jeff, I have always used 5w 40 oil. Will that cause me any problems?

Cheers.

Well fully synthetic is not a requirement so, save on buying semi synthetic instead, also it can leak past old seals more easily.

The 10w 40 is the best option as far as ensuring the grade suits the 30 yr old designed engine and whilst 5k miles is a typical oil change routine the grade will remain correct.
