Hi Guys

I have had an email from Simon Fox @ Nissan asking if we would like to be parts of a big celebration event at Japfest on 5th May 2019.

they are looking to get a large display of Z cars at the event to celebrate 50 years of the Z marque with a parade lap that hopefully will number around 250 cars.

Simon has asked if 300zx.co.uk would be interested in being involved, I'm pretty sure we are !! so for those that want a lap round Silverstone but at a leisurely pootle, (you can book track time and drive much faster if you like), this would be a great day and a chance to be part of a big event. We would also be part of a big static display too so win win all round.

I think this fits in perfectly with our anniversary plans and is a great chance to not only have a great day out but increase the exposure of the club so I for one will certainly be going.

So if you would like to attend lets get a list going.

Coming round fast this. Is the club still attending?

What time will we need to be at Silverstone?

 

Just trying to work out logistics... stay over or on the day travel time etc....

The 350Z/370Z club have had a stand organised since late last year. There are already around 40 of them who have bought club tickets using their club code.

The Z club have been invited to join the 350Z/370Z club on their stand.

Hi Pete I'm currently waiting for answers from Michael McDonald and the contact at the 350z club. As soon as I know you guys will too.

we just need the password to be able to order tickets for the relevant club.

i see there are clubs registered for 350z-uk and also zclub/nissansportz so i am not sure which of these we are joining either?

I have spoken to the 350Z/370z club rep who is organising things at their end. They are clarifying if we need to join their club to satisfy their insurance policy however i beleive we also have liabilty insurance so should be able to attend based on that.

If its all good we can purchase tickets and stand passes through their website.

HOWEVER and a bit of a fly in the ointment......the parade lap apperently is dependant on their being a significant number of 240/260z types attending and so far thats not looking good.

I am therfore guessing that that there are names on the list that may not attend if the parade lap does not happen ??? if that the case can you please le me know.

That is a shame. I will admit, for me the idea of the parade lap was the primary USP for this event.

As it stands the response from Z Club members has been very poor. Hardly any cars seem to be going. Japfest clashes with the Donington historic on the same weekend which in recent years has become a big event for the Z club....."Samuri Gathering"....

Parade lap or not I still want to be part of a large gathering of Zed cars, I’m still in. :thumbup1::clap:

The response from us has been good at 30+Zeds.

Why can't we have our own stand & is the lap going to be all 300 Zs going round together?
