Hi guys

I’m hoping to get a few jobs done over the winter and one of them is replacing the 3 rear lights. What do you recommend for the tape/glue to seat them?

Cheers,

Chris.

The centre panel uses 2 foam gaskets which can generally be reused, these work well so if they’re not a crumbling mess, they’ll be fine. Remove the centre panel first.

The outer clusters need to be warmed from the inside in order to soften the adhesive/sealant and allow the clusters to be removed. If there is enough of this left on the car once removed and a decent amount on the lights you’re fitting, you can get away with just warming it up again and reusing it. Just make sure it fills the gaps and is water tight. Failing that, you can buy the proper sealant from Nissan in strips or just use a rain and gutter sealant type product from B&Q!

This works fine, compared to OEM sealant, easier to fix lights in place and when removing them. Doesn't damage the plastic

of the lights and puts much less strain on the fixing studs as the units are mounted in place.

Cut the nozzle to give a ~8mm bead.
