Time to renew my insurance and try and get a valuation on my zed.

Now I know eventually I will need to get this properly done by a garage but they are asking now for a figure and then detailed pictures.

By knowing what I've spent its up about £25k or more but what's other people opinions on it.

Last year during the build process it was agreed at 10k but I think its double that now easily.

I would look to at least recover your loss if it was completely destroyed or stolen and not recovered.

After that I would for like for like cars and see what they are selling for.

Personally I think you should push for in excess of 25k

If articles in magazines like Modern Classics are anything to go by, any 1990's performance coupe worth owning should be worth £20k plus!!

Get the agreed value at what you have spent Lee - it doesn't add too much to the premium. At least you know you're covered, should the worst happen - and whilst I hate to remind you, you certainly know that anything's possible mate...

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I think poor old Dan's car insurance payout was around £12K, as his was not an agreed value, he got some classic crowd to value his car for the insurance claim and they put it around £27K, so yours should definitely be up around there:thumbup1:

FWIW I have an agreed value on mine of 15k prior to the respray. I will be changing that very soon once everything else is completed.
