So I want to start a discussion about the membership base and the dwindling numbers.

I know we have less zeds on the road so the number of people visiting our club forums is decreasing year by year and that is fact.

First I would like to break down the user stats as follows :

Registered Users :- 221 ( user accounts that have not posted in 365 days but have logged in )

Standard Members :- 602 ( user accounts which will need to pay the £1 membership fee after 6 months )

Premium Members :- 152 ( user accounts which have paid the £20 membership fee )

Dormant accounts :- 8467 ( user account that has not been logged into in over 365 days )

First thing I would like to say is thanks to the 152 premium users; without you this club would not exist :thumbup1:

Now for the 602 users what can we do to improve the services so that you will in the future consider subscribing as a Premium User ?

There could be many of you that do not subscribe simply because you don't own a zed; which is fine.

Or

There could be many of you in circumstances beyond control and simply cannot subscribe.

I don't want this to be a fight into the justification of subscribing but rather a positive thread to direct us in getting a better conversion rate.

As the better subscribed user base we have then the more people will take part and feel part of a club.

I just want to say a big "Thank you " to Lee (Jaikai) at this time. While we're throwing around suggestions etc, it is he who is "manning the pumps" and has put in the time to change the Club page, trialed different hosting versions, setup new Facebook pages etc. You tend to forget that someone has to be in the background doing all the work.

So Thanks mate for all the work:thumbup:

I Totally Agree!

I was questioning the 'Trial' duration.....if it doesn't work then it doesn't work...but give it a fair go!

The idea was to try to alleviate the overhead of 'Spam' management by the Committee....and to try to increase the Club's standing out in the Event Organisers world.

I thought the fee (£1, 50p, 25p ) would be levied as a condition of Registering...not optional?

Anyway...it was all IMHO....I shall say no more on the matter

I wasn't having a "pop" at you bud, I just realized that Lee is pretty much adapting the Club as suggestions arise:thumbup1:

I thought the £1 was a good idea myself.

Blimey....152 Premium Users...5 people vocalise issues with the 'Trial' nominal fee for Registered Users.....and it is scrapped!

I just think it's a tough one to get right. I don't have any problem with it as such, just not sure whether it would work. I personally pay up whatever it is, so I'm not bothered what the costs are and naturally you'll be very similar. I'm just not sure how it would help us grow the membership when registered users don't always bother when it's free. Great idea to stop the spammer types though.

Not sure how many of the premium users have commented saying they like the idea though. But They, like us pay the full wack regardless. I think it'd be better for the registered users to say whether they'd still come and use the forum or not

It has gone pretty wild, there’s already lots of posts on there! Now we just have to balance the traffic, it being busy isn’t a bad thing as it’s just taking people’s attention that we’re already on there but I think the trick is now to throw in the odd thread with a specific link to the club forum.

Edit: example..

Just posted on there, it would be nice if we could have our original Club Join date, ie, Dec ‘05 for me and maybe the Rep bar like on here. Probably can’t be done though.

It will definitely add more traffic through here though, especially if we get a draw & competitions running:thumbup1:
