the transmission ecu on a uk turbo, and if its in the passenger footwell how do i know what it looks like there seems to be alot down there.

Featured Replies

............The smaller one of the two on the left hand side in the passanger footwell and it's the new looking one ;)

The larger one is the main ECU unit and has the traction control attached.

Hope you get it sorted.

Matty.

Cheers m8 these cars have far to many electronics most of which seem to be down there but its to cold and dark now, leave it until 2moro :D :D

No problem!!

There's also the ICE wires running through there too plus the docking for a laptop for the traction control!!

It needs to be light before you go at it and still use a torch!! :D

I was for ever upside down in the footwell with my legs over the passanger seat (I had slippers on! ;) ) to get a better view!

:p

Matty.

Matty do you think you will have another Z in time for billing.

I hope so mate as it's killing me not having one and I don't know how long I will last without one........:D

I am going to view a few in the next 2 weeks but as I found out before it's a long and slippery road to find a 'good' Z.

Want to sell me my old one back ;) ???

I might look (as I have the time) for a UK manual TT but I do like the Auto's becuase I'm really lazy, not only that my left foot is only for standing on, nothing else!!

Matty.

I think i will hang on to this one for now m8;)

I know what you mean about auto's being lazy, i was driving the other half's golf the other day (manual) came up to some traffic lights on red so put my foot on the brake and came to a stop with a bang & a shudder and yes i was still in 3rd gear:rolleyes:

Alright Matty - hows Z3 life?! I finally got me a Zed, all those months after being pinned in the passenger seat of your ex/Keith's Zed past Coleshill!

Glad you found a Z mate, I knew you would eventually!!!

I will be back in the ranks of Z owners sooner rather than later, prefer a Z to a Z3 that's for sure, size is everything.......:D

Just got to find me a good un now, got a few to see over the next couple of weeks, so fingers crossed it may not be that long.

I would buy my old one back but Keith ain't selling!! ;)

Soon as I get sorted I'll let you know and meet up for a beer, well shandy or cokes anyway!

Take it easy in the Z.........get used to the power first!
