Hey guys!

After some thought and seven years of owning Zed, I had decided to look into selling up. But! after removing the power steering solenoid, cleaning it up and tracking down some new o-rings (which I managed to find for 50p from GTP engineering, instead of £20 plus from Nissan and a three week wait) then taking him/her out for a spin, have decided to keep him.

I was wondering what oil you guys use? It's been a while since a change, due to doing so few miles and its still pretty clear. I think my usual choice is either 0-30 or 5-30?

Next job... front shocks and pads

PMSL.....

We all have our preferences for oil...

My only advice is to say that a "30" grade when hot is too thin for a twin turbo! Go for nothing less than a "40" grade - either a 5w40 synthetic or a 10w40 semi (which is what Nissan recommended). Stick with the usual good quality brands and you'll be just fine....

……..And the worms remain sealed inside the can.....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Groundhog Day! And Highlander?? Both excellent films :-).

Thanks for the advice guys, much appreciated. Oh and I have no turbos , does that make a difference to lubricant needs?

I'm guessing that me and Ali are banned from this thread

This question may only be answer by yourself. Which ones are the REAL ghostbusters?

There are some classic films that just can't be re-made, or even copied. The words Cult and Iconic are never overused when talking about Ghostbusters.

Hi Matt,

The captions relate to the question that comes up time & time again!

Having owned a z for you say seven years? Are you now asking which oil:huh:

Some of the owner on here change their oil every six months regardless of miles done.

I know some maybe very excessive but oil is relatively cheap compared to a problem engine on the z.

I use 10/40 oil

Ahhhh, things like that just go over my head sorry hahha. It does sound like a simple question, but I just couldn't remember what I'd used previously? The car runs superb, but as I'm doing about 2-300 miles per year, I thought from now on I'd change it once. Any major issues I had used to go to zedword .

Yep 10w/40 seems the way to go though, thanks Art.
