Afternoon Guys,

I see that a twinz group buy happened some time ago from CZP. Was just wondering if there was another one planned or if people where considering one in the future?

Very keen to get my hands on a 2+2 bolt on diffuser :)

Thanks, James.

I’d be interested in a few bits dude. Including the diffuser. Will take me a few months to gather funds though.

I'll be looking for a boot spoiler, lip and skirts later in the year, when I've cleared all my outstanding debts :innocent::yes:

I'm with the others, would like to do a group buy but would like a few months to get funds for a few bits. Interested in the diffuser and HKS bov kit.

And so we have it. The beginnings of a group buy. Excited.

Best get my order list built and work out how much I need to save up.

So who is going to step up and take responsibility for this group buy?

Looking at the comments so far its going to take months to get funding in place. It will probably run in to 2019!

What about prices? currency changes are inevitable in this current climate.

Going on past experience it will be a lot of work and time and effort for whoever takes this on.

Totally agreed with the economic climate.

If we were to put a date where the order is placed then everyone can budget to that.

I know my order will probably be around the £2k mark anyway. Given the US have so much more parts and mods available.

Get enough interest and then make a nominated person to manage the buy

There are some "rules" surrounding group buys........

Group Buys - Members wanting to conduct group buys on the Club’s forum on a “not for profit” basis must first get approval from the TLO before the GB goes ahead. The TLO will make sure that GB items(s) cannot be supplied by one of the subscribed traders at a fair price and timeframe. The TLO's decision in the matter is final. Group Buys are defined as single item types/multiple buyers.

Newish members probably need to read the whole club section on this......

The main question is are we going to do a group buy or combined order?

Both have practically the same criteria “rules”.

Group buy is a singular item purchased as ‘bulk’.

Combined is different orders but one shipping cost

Pete is right, I did a couple of Group Buys a while back (Wiring Looms & Throttle covers) and to be honest, it was extremely hard work, what with lads committing and then backing out, raising the money etc, needing a certain amount to commit to recieve the discount, what with customs duties, shipping etc. It was hard going.

I anticipated being asked that question lol.

I guess I can.

First point is group or combined.

As said above I know I have a £2k+ wish list. Which I know I can adjust to suit priorities.

However the diffuser is part of that list.

What does everyone want then? Either Group Buy or Combined (to suit a bulk order for you)

And that was just with relatively small items. The logistics of a large volume fibreglass order just multiply the work and risk.

And the Twinz dont exactly figure in the top ten of "reliable suppliers" IMO of course.

Fair play Edd for even considering it.

I dont mean to come over as "negative" as Im not. I was involved when Mark Kent did the last one.

Before my time here I believe dude. Only been zedding for 18months or so.

I get it’s going to be a lot of work. Communication and staying reasonably fluid throughout I assume is key.

Shall see what everyone wants in regards to how this will go about and then I guess I can seek a little more advice from those of you that have done it in the past [emoji4]

Edd, and anyone considering this, GB just as a heads up. I have been trying to get a Twinz product from the USA for the last 4 months now!

Both CZP and Z1 were/are out of stock. I have been contacting both of them on a weekly basis to get an update on when they will have new stock and its likely arrival date, from the brothers in Peru. Each time I am told it will now "probably be early in the following month", then next time I contact them "its now probably late next month" this has gone since February. Neither CZP or Z1 have any real idea as to when their respective orders will arrive. I have spoken with Twinz themselves and they are very vague as to when the next consignment will be ready to ship overseas. They will not entertain shipping anything direct overseas as by their own admission their postal/shipping service in Peru is terrible. Consequently I gave up on my quest for a new Type 3 rear bumper.

So to all of the guys interested in buying a Twinz product, the CZP and Z1 websites will let you order the item, however it may not be in stock, and you may have a considerable wait for it, and thus may lose out on any possible saving is shipping costs on a GB.

Sorry to put a downer on it, but just thought it was worth mentioning, so no one is disappointed at the eleventh hour.

Cheers for the heads up Bigh. Definitely worth bearing in mind for a potential GB
