So I had two large parcels to be sent out yesterday going to two very different areas of the country.

The first going to the International Shipping Depo for Ebay and the other going a bit further down south.

Today I received an email from my customer stating that parcel he received was not his; so much so that

it never even had his name or address on it; Just a Parcelforce tracking barcode.

The second parcel is now at some massive warehouse owned by ebay with no way to contact them they

are not the named end party where the parcel is suppose to be going.

Now trying to sort out this logistical nightmare with the couriers and the first thing they ask is can I take

pictures of both parcels to prove they are delivered incorrectly.

Argghhhh !!

They all have problems. We use DPD which are in the most part ok, unless you want a Saturday delivery in which case it always goes wrong.

awh good old parcel fail,

I use TNT do ship parcels with not had a single problem with them.

i always think the Royal Mail are always worth the extra cost over the couriers

Don’t Royal Mail own Parcel Force.

For smaller items I always use RM now as I have had too many problems with others. I send over 5k items a year. They are also a nightmare when you try and get a refund for one of their cock ups too even with signed for items. Unless you provide them with exactly what they say they ned they just refuse your claims. I have always found TNT and UPS good for overseas items too. Its not always the parcel companies fault though especially with selling on eBay. These days there are so many more people that are out to scam sellers on lower value items, I have noticed it get worse over the past few years with eBays increasing popularity amongst the masses. I believe RM are bringing in new types of barcodes though so more parcels will show as being delivered aside for signed for services which will be handy and stop some of the chancers.

Interestingly I used to think that Amazon used decent delivery drivers especially with their next day services etc. I see that these days they use any old contractor in banged up estate cars. I guess its all down to keeping the costs down.

Yes

yes, but using the standard Royalmail postie service for parcels, rather than Parcelforce service.

In my experience, the postie service has always been more reliable of the two.

Had a door handle shipped to me from Wales using Parcel2Go on 13/04/18, Received a phoncall from a lady in Hounslow, London, to say she has my parcel, she was able to ring me to tell me my name, address and phone number is on the packet and she had contacted Hermes who had delivered it to her by mistake. She spent a week both phoning and web chatting to Hermes to tell them she had it and when were they collecting it, to be told it's not their problem!!!:mad:

Parcel2Go have been informed and they say they'll collect it. Only for the honesty of this Lady, Hermes would've left it!!
