Newbie who has just bought his 2nd Z32 TT UK, and I love it!

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

Its great to be part of the owners club and I am looking forward to chatting with you all about our cars. I bought my first Z32 TT UK manual in red when I was 20 years old and I absolutely loved her! Unfortunately I had to sell her on after I was involved in an accident and I was devastated to let her go! I am hoping to find that same car and have been looking! (H825 FLK) I have now bought my 2nd 1994 Z32 TT UK auto in white after 17 years of owning my first one. I love the car and im currently having her completely restored to original. Will post some pictures throughout with hopes of having her on the road in 2 weeks time before she goes in for a full repaint.

Thanks all, have a good one!

Ryan

Welcome to the club Ryan and look forward to your updates on the 300zx. Your old zx is coming up on a SORN with no MOT.

Thanks for the welcome. Looking forward to posting some updates. Yeah I see that she is sorn. A big shame, I was hoping to see that she was on the road. I was told that she had some modifications done, was then painted pink and entered into the gumball rally in approx 2001/2002. Sold to a guy in the south west.

Hi mate, got hold of a correct set of UK spec OEM wheels that I have had fully refurbished. Just looking to put a set of new tyres on and I will use those as winter wheels. looking for a rear spoiler to replace my bad one. (thats the only thing I need) Bought all the replacement body steel panels (arch repairs, sills, rear boot lid etc etc) may as well do that before she is painted to make sure I do not have any future issues. New brakes all round and a full service. Looking to have her finished and mot'd on the road in a couple of weeks for the test drive and go from there. All going well she will be back in for a re paint and both front seats repaired (leather wear) then a bloody good detail clean!!! will post pics when I can.

Ah ok, will check the dealer. Yeah I want her done as soon as I can. but done right of course. I used to have my own bodyshop but now work away so my best mate is taking care of her. He has a very good eye for detail and his work is very very good. (Ian Webb specialist cars) look out for the updates soon.

Hi art213,

Thanks for the welcome. Yes definitely not a 2 week build! She has been worked on for a few weeks now. Hopefully just a couple more to go before she is on the road and then I plan to test drive to see how she runs. Once im happy I will then take her back off the road for a full re paint. :) Will keep you posted!

Welcome to the Club Ryan, just out of curiosity, where did you source all the steel body panels??

Thanks

Hi Richie,

I contacted a very helpful guy called Jimmer Thomas at Powerzed who helped me lots! Very knowledgeable on these cars! He then sent me the repair sections that I needed.

Cheers

Ryan

He sounds familiar. ;)

Yup - Jimmer is the Zed guru extraordinaire.... You can't go wrong taking your car to Powerzed Ryan; he's the best. And a damn nice guy too...

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Really helpful! thats good to know. He is not that far from me so I will drive the Zed up when she is on the road. :cool3:

Jimmer is probably the only guy I'll ever use and I'm in Ireland, he's currently building me a forged engine to drop into my freshly painted Z:thumbup:

Hi Ryan, hope you managed to get the tailgate back with incurring any damage as it slid around in the transit?

Sorry I wasn't there to meet you hopefully catch up at sometime throughout the year at a meeting.

Have you considered attending the "Simply Japanese" meet at Beaulieu at the end of July?
