So I followed the last few days of threads about traders and fees and now the contribution section.

 

Called me old fashioned ( please do I am proud to be a grown up ) but this is becoming sureal, I don't get it, this is the thin end of the wedge for the forum credibility surely? I thought the 300zx forum / club had more about it than to resort to allowing the members subscribing and then donating to keep traders on board.

 

Just my take on it of course but all appears a bit unseemly..

No matter which way I turn here, I can't win. So scrap the whole donation thing completely please! I'll remain as a Trader seeing as Richie's increased his order, which means his impulsive (but well-intentioned) donation comes out of my pocket anyway.

 

All in all, this has turned into a bit of a circus... and where's that old :XXX: smiley gone??

I don't think anyone here was thinking that you were going to do a runner matey. I certainly didn't anyway:blink: and to be honest, I'd be a bit disappointed if people were thinking it. It takes time to plan, design and prepare interiors to the standard that you turn them out in, you also have commitments to other club's group buys that were in front of us. Timeframes will always change as unforseen circumstances arise (Power Cuts, bad weather for deliveries, running out of leather, as you've gone through quite a few herds, I'd imagine:biggrin:). These things take time, patience is required sometimes.

 

Now can we close off this thread and bury it in the archives, never to be seen or suggrsted again??:innocent:

If anyone keeps up with Si`s work then you will know he is not just involved in zeds but has a full portfolio of other car retrims now. Im sure work on zeds maybe only makes up 10% of his work as the 300zx community is small in comparison to others. I can understand why he didnt renew in an age where social media is taking over and you do not need subscriptions to promote your business when social media and word of mouth will cast a far greater net.

 

This is not intended to poke fingers at anyone i think it is just a realistic view of the world today and any sort of marketing intuition would understand this. Just because Si decided not to renew trader status does not mean he is closing down.

Its a new day and all is well. As Richie said its time to close this thread and let it drift of to the archives. Thank you for all the comments they are all welcome and we learn by them and move on. This club survives by having knowledgeable caring members who look after each other and support the club. The Committee will always listen to their members and do what is best. We walk a thin line and when the "WTF" button is used against us remember we are just human and we try to find the best solution. Enjoy your Z's :thumbup1:
