I'll confess, I'm a little unhappy about having my thread locked for the reason of "back door trading!" I purposely avoided any kind of serious response to any members who expressed an interest who aren't signed up for the group buy, and yet still the keys came jangling...

 

The sole reason I didn't renew my Trader subs is because they aren't cost effective. There are forums out there with a much larger member base who offer everything that £100 would get me here, but for half that amount. I mentioned that to The Powers That Be but it couldn't be matched. So that was that.

 

One thing I absolutely haven't attempted to do is trade via the back door and, if I'm honest, I'm a little resentful that I've been accused of it. So what I shall do, when the GB work starts, is email pictures to the relevant members so that they can update their own threads with the progress. Then I can't be accused of anything untoward.

 

I can think of a few members who are far more guilty of back door trading, either currently or in the past, than I'd ever be. But hey ho... such if life....

I think that referring to the account you are trying to pay FROM not TO Richie, combined with you not being logged in?

Last payment into the club paypal was on the 10th, and no errors or emails received about any problems.

Hi Gaz, I was trying to pay the Traders fee but it won't let me for some reason, I've now tried it via my PC and still the same message comes up when i log into Paypal:confused1:. Is this happening because I was never a reg'd Trader and it's linked to my Username maybe?

Just tested it myself and it works, I don't get that message .

We can easily setup a donation link, if the member base wishes to pay in part or in full for a Traders subs.

 

I'm happy to donate to the cause myself and i'm sure more will follow.

 

If you all feel that giving back to our Traders in this method is suitable we can setup separate nominated links.

 

For anyone wishing to donate for Mondo currently please don't use the current setup membership process as you will only turn yourself into a Trader.

I don't have access to the paypal system to create specific paypal donation links.

 

Nothing stoping you from paypal over as a gift funds to the club on behalf of a member. :)

 

You just need to ensure that you note the cause of the transaction then PM or email one of the committee.

 

Call it a Gift Card which the Traders can cash in.

 

I've raised this point with the committee and we will see if its a viable method. :)

£5 each should do it, then lock this thread due to back back door trading and see what he says before he finds out that he’s a reg trader.

Guys, there’s no need for donations, I’ve been onto Si, I’ll cover his Traders fee and he’s doing extra work for me in lieu :tt2: Myself and Si have done numerous transactions with each other between swapping out plenums, clutch & brake kits etc. and we have a good friendship. I’ll PayPal the full amount as a gift payment and it’s all sorted:thumbup1:
