Hi all,

I've joined the forum a number of years ago looking for a 300zx and last Christmas I finally got one. I'ts a lovely looked after 1992 Twin turbo manual from a gent that spent a huge amount of time and money+ kept it garaged. The car has been fully under sealed and resprayed to maintain it's beauty.

Here she is:

Soon I will be looking for a few bits to bring it back to standard, will start off with small things like oem colour dash bulbs (mine are blue led which I really don't like), stock steering wheel as I've got an aftermarket and some speakers for the back as they've been taken out :)

Looking forward to the forum and possible future events!

Thanks

Dimitry

Hi mate. A little observation, that rear strip at the back which is red, should be black and has faded. A new one of those would do nicely :)

I'm more interested in that old CRX in the background - little training shoe on wheels, those things! :)

I'd love to see it side on, the high spoiler and low nose will look ace. I really like the red "NISSAN" on the skirt and nice wheels. I think they are hard style to pull of, but they look mean on your car :thumbup1:

Hi Dimitry.

Looks very clean and well loved!

Pop your name down on the South Central forum. Hopefully see you over the summer sometime.

Cheers,

Chris.

oh wow what a friendly forum, haven't seen one this good in years :)

I purchased the ZX a month ago (agreed on a deal for it a year and a half ago but we decided to buy a house, moved in, I resaved again and messaged the seller. He still had it tucked away in his garage and agreed to sell :) )

I've brought it back from Peak district to Southampton, but it has been standing for the time being as I need to sell my Z3 3.0 to start enjoying the ZX.

I currently own a mk2 CRX iVT which I'm fully restoring (got full suspension to go on it, nuts and bolts form honda too! :) )

Mazda RX7 which is my baby and I'm slowly restoring it bit by bit and using almost daily

And of course the fairest of them all, the Z. The boot has been taken apart to install a camera and double din touch screen but I think I will buy the original single din and build everything close to original.

Does anyone have any recommendations for rear speakers? They've been taken out and I don't want to cut anything so want either a pair of original ones again or some replacement but heard they are an interesting size.

The front of the car looks like this:

Are any of the parts special? I do like it but I think I would prefer simple facelift style, yet it would be a shame as the car has new paintwork.

Also I've noticed some NISMO 300km clocks, in the rx-7 world all the 300km are worth a bomb, but after having a set myself now I'm not too keen as when they are converted to mph the dial becomes too small and the time it takes to go over the speed limit is close to none :)

Thanks for the warm welcome and I'm looking forward spending some time with the Z, will look in to the membership to the forum too.

Denis Thornleys old car, been to a few shows with him thats one well looked after zed. It was resprayed at bodymech i believe and the paint job is fantastic. Nice purchase.

The nismo clusters are pretty rare but I agree, if I had them I would keep it kmh (I too have a 300kmh cluster)

Welcome to the forum bud....and another nice BLACK zed...lol so I have seen this zed before

Such a shame we need number plates on the front. That will block some air flow in there. I doubt it'll be a problem unless you're on a track though.
