Hi guys

After reading some of the great rebuild threads I feel inspired to refurbish the underside of my car. Current it's not in a bad state, in fact Jim told me it was clean however I want better. I could by new but it seems that the grade of the finish from new isn't up to much. So what I'm hoping for from those of you that have done this is a list of parts that I can get stove enamelled. You might say that I could just pull off what I've got on my car BUT I've not got the time, space nor knowledge to do this so I'm hoping to prep a load of parts for Jimmer to fit next time I visit him.

Forgot to say it's for a UK twin turbo manual LWB.

Cheers,

Chris.

I'm gradually going through my underside, well, just the suspension components and have had almost all of them done. Stripped, blasted, powder coated a satin black and new NISMO bushes all round. Everything that's been refitted has been used using brand new OEM fasteners. Does make a difference although my underside was rust-free and in extremely good order, I just wanted the suspension components to look super fresh. I'm sure they'd have gone up nicely if I'd given them a deep clean with a tooth brush and some APC however as I was replacing the bushes, I thought I'd get it all refreshed with a much more durable coating anyway.

Hi Chris,

I refurbished all of the rear sub frame and suspension components last winter. Links below, hopefully they will help you out a bit?

Somewhere I do have photos of the all the brake lines I replaced, but cannot find the details at the moment.

It was your post and Jaikais that has inspired me to do this. Unfortunately I've no idea of the names of all the components that I can do this to so can't order all the bits I need from the breaker. I'll get all new OEM bushes and bolts for fitting. I'll also get the the brakes callipers refubed at the same time.

Si, do you know somewhere close to us for powdercoating?
